Title Youth of May
8.7 on 2 episode ? really ????
People tend to rate while watching, so the overall rating will probably change each time new episodes are released.

Title Beyond Evil Spoiler
All the comments here are the reason I keep on watching this drama even though I nearly drop it.Watched the 1st…
This series is not really about who is the killer or who is the bad guy. I felt that it was more about how people who are left behind feel and live after they lose their lover ones and about what they can do and how far can they get to achieve something.
Our protagonists are not really heroes or good ones. They have done many questionable things and they are the definition of morally gray characters. It's definently not a series for everyone and it is quite slow paced, but if you started it waiting for a plot driven murder-mystery then you will be greatly disappointed. This is more of a psychological thriller and it is definitely character driven.

Did you end up watching the series? I was thinking to buy the book, but I want to know if it is exactly the same as the series before doing so.

Satoko's grandfather was doing something bad to her, yes. They knew it because of what little Satoko said, that…
I don't know if it is normal in Japan either, but it was pretty obvious what the grandpa did to her from the way the scene was directed and shown. The fact that the parents chose to ignore it, is a social commentary itself, about the way they deal with child abuse. I suppose you are still in the first episode so I won't spoil.

Btw why is no one subbing it on kissasian and so on? Is everyone waiting for viki? How is it possible that some…
In general it takes a few hours for an episode to get subbed on Viki. Keep in mind that volunteers translate and segment the episodes. If you can wait please watch it from Viki or from a legal source if available. Kissasian and dramacool may have a lot of dramas, but they don't sub them. They usually take the subtitles from fansubbers and upload them.

It will probably take a few hours since it just finished airing. You can watch it on Viki though if it is available in your region.

I agree about his death. I also wanted him to rot in jail (even though that didn't happen in the real case). I am sure that they left enough evidence though. If the servers were kept that probably meant that they were going to be presented as evidence in court. That also means that there is a probability that the victims of those videos might have been called to testify and it would be like experiencing humiliation for the second time, so I preferred the fact that they burned them. However as you said they should have done it earlier so that no one would get injured.

I agree with the first point. They like this kind of dramatic writing I suppose. They didn't destroy the evidence though. When the prosecutors got there, there were many boxes full of papers which were the evidence. They just destroyed the videos so that they won't be available online anymore.

Stumbled on your review while I checked if the second season has a higher rating than the first. You have no idea how much I agree with everything, even though I have to say that I didn't find the directing really good, in the first half at least. I especially liked the OST in this one. I actually found Oh Yoon Hee a little bit more bearable in the second season. I agree that she is the definition of brainless, but I felt that the "seriousness" of her in this season comparing to the other one was better for the actress. I haven't watched Eugene in another series, but in this one I just didn't like her acting, mostly in emotional scenes. She was way better when she had a more serious tone. Will definitely watch season 3 and I really hope that it is better than the 2nd one.

First of all, I really liked your article. I also love dark dramas and if I made a list most of the dramas you added would be in it. ''This drama will make you... even willing to kill some characters.'' Exactly! I am still mad that that truck didn't run Tae Oh over in the last episode. Save Me was a breath of fresh air and same thing goes with Strangers from Hell. Koreans tend to add unnecessary comedy scenes in most of their dramas, so I am glad that these stayed serious. Also, thank God that extracurricular was a netflix production and we got to see such a great story. Penthouse was the definition of frustrating, even though I wouldn't consider it dark. Well, Beyond Evil became one of my favorite dramas. It was exceptional in every way. I would recommend you to watch Children of Nobody. It deals with a sensitive subject. I personally enjoyed it very much, but it is a hit or miss.
