Yeap, she is a terrible person and character. She blamed everyone else for her wrongdoings. Even after Pi Oh was arrested, she blamed her father and not herself and her actions. She only was willing to take responsibility after everything went to hell -and not entirely- and she basically even threatened her own son when she tried to kill herself. Her behaviour is sure infuriating to watch. But for me at that point, all I saw was another proof of how pathetic she really is. It was fun to watch that for once she didnt have everything under her control and she couldn't do anything to take that control back with her pathetic measures. She ended up begging the person she tried so hard to destroy for the sake of her son -and her own- and in the process she also ruined her son, her own life and the life of her father. It is even more tragic to think that Jeong Yo could actually help Pi Oh be a better pianist but she was unable to see that cause she was blinded by her own incapability to make her father proud of her.
About evidence I suppose she could find something, but from how it was shown it was like she didn't really have anything valid. Cause she did go to the police confessing but no one believed her. She even mentioned the alleged photo that was apparently deleted.
She definitely had no empathy for him. She never cared about him. But I liked how she showed lack of decency, she got humiliated basically. And at the end of the day she was the reason everything was ruined.
It would be a nice touch if it stays just as an info and nothing more.
Plus it is a coward move. The two mains relationships is very complicated and the way the series is filmed it would be weird if they ended up being related. Queer context or not this is not how siblings would look at each other (maybe if they were the lannisters). I just hope the ending is not rushed and nonsensical.
Best case scenario is them running of together. A tragic scenario that wouldn't bother me THAT much but us still sad, is Pi Oh killing himself and Jeong Yo finding out the truth (and maybe also dying).
The actual worst case scenario is them being half brothers and getting married in the last episode to girls 🙃
Hopefully that doesn't happen cause it would truly make no sense.
The mother seems to be the obvious perpetrator, so I hope it is not her.
Plus the way the series itself is directed, with close ups in their hands, their gazes etc scream romance and if Jeong Yo was portrayed by a female actress, I don't think anyone would be debating over this. There would be no "It's open for interpretation" and the writers themselves would add 'intimate' scenes to make the relationship clear.
But at the same time, they are constantly throwing things like "you are my friend", and from my experience in Kdramas they are not bold to actually confirm that they have any romantic feelings for one another. That kind of adds this one to the queerbaiting category for me, cause it is not really illegal in Korea to show same-sex relationships on screen. They have done it before. But here it is like they are chosing not to, exactly because the audience wouldn't like it. So for me, it has evdient queer subtext, but at the same time it feels like the creators were like "Let's make this series about the complex relationship between two males, make the posters look like their relationship is the main aspect, make it look romantic and intense, but never really confirm it. Oh and also add Jae In as a main even though she barely has any screentime".
That aside I have two other issues I am not sure where they will be leading.
1. Jae In
Again the way the series is directed and written it feels like Jae In likes Pi O and he doesn't really like her that way, but they kiss because he is in a really bad place at the time. After the kiss, he is still indifferent to her, so if they decide to just push the whole Jae In/Pi O ship, it will downgrade the series and to begin with it is just unecessary. They dont seem to want to do this, but I won't be surprised if they do.
2. The relatives aspect.
I truly hope I am wrong and they don't do it, but it does feel plausible they will go to that direction and make them half-brothers.
We don't know who Pi-Oh's father is and we also don't know who Jeong Yo's dad is. And then we have the typical, two people raised in different environments, that are talented and somehow meet and have this deep bond etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they just justified their intense relationship by saying in the end that they acted the way they did cause they were connected in a way they didn't previously know.
