The ending is in different timeline in the past, YY (CY) and WZ (WY) don't have ill fated romance tribulation anymore. So they can have happy ending. The egg become the new Phoenix.

I try to reread the novel from beginning and it is very different from the drama. There are many difference. If I am not wrong, in the novel, heaven emperor agree to marry YY with Phoenix with condition Phoenix as concubine but WZ do not agree to become concubine. But it is just scheme from heaven emperor.

Personally I doubt this prince is from Yan family because they have animosity against each other, unlike YY relationship with Yan Luo. At the same time, this prince also call heaven emperor as his father. So it is quite confusing.
