Why has the countdown clock for the next episodes disappeared from this page? Also, why has Sahdow Love been removed from the list of currently airing dramas on the kisskh homepage?
you should really watch legend of the female general, I'm telling you your opinion would change. unless you have…
Exactly! I love the opportunity Shadow Love gave him to showcase his range and versatility as an actor. That's what I want for all actors I support. I don't want to see them to be typecast.
Cheng Lei's acting choices (stoic, cold, reserved, brooding) in "the other drama" was something I had already seen from Cheng Lei so many times and I found it very bland, boring and uninspired. I wanted to see him play a character that allowed him utilize a different set of acting choices (because I know he has in him). That's what the character(s) he plays in Shadow Love gives him. It's also what the characters in the upcoming dramas, Mo Li and How Dare You will give him.
I'm loving the fact that he is choosing his roles well and not sticking to one type of role. This will ensure his success and longevity as an actor.
The writing is exceptionally good. Here I was, questioning (rightfully so) why Jin An was losing his memories that occurred after Jade had been removed. Not knowing that the show had another twist coming.π
I am so happy the writing went this route - that he lost his memories of the past year because of the trauma of losing the love of his life. Love it.. Love it.. Love it. π
Any other memory loss explanation would have made absolutely no sense. Because the Jade has already been removed.
I LOVE dramas that have smart writing. Which is very rare these days.
From a writing perspective, Shadow Love is far exceeding the majority of CDrama writing in recent years. Kudos to the team. π
Oh no... Guys... The trauma from the heartbreak of Shuang breaking up with him and walking away made him lose his memories of the last one year. This is so sad. So heartbreaking. π’
In my opinion, IQiyi miscalculated in scheduling the release of this drama in August/Sept. This drama is so good and a lot of the so-called "top dramas of 2025" cannot hold a candle to it. In my books, Shadow Love is second to Prisoner of Beauty, which is my top drama of this year.
IQiyi should have released this drama around end of spring/beginning of summer when a lot of romance CDrama fans were hungry and clamoring for a deep, emotional and steamy romantic CDrama with high stakes.
This drama has a very high binge quality. I have already reawtched episodes 1 - 30. After it ends this weekend, I hope IQiyi eventually makes deals with Viki and Viu to get it on those platforms and bring it to more viewers. Especially people who watch CDrama but don't follow CDrama release schedules closely.
Shadow Love is a gem and I hope over the weeks, months and years to come more people get to watch it and fall in love with the story and characters.β€οΈ
There is a clip of Prince Annan carrying LI Shuang out of the torture camber. There is a behind-the-scenes clip…
That is also a possibility. Even though I am not usually a fan of that sort of writing, in which things are hidden from the audience in order to get to a gotcha moment.
So lets break the clips down that are out and about. We see him watching her do a sword dance then fireworks.…
There is a clip of Prince Annan carrying LI Shuang out of the torture camber.
There is a behind-the-scenes clip of Li Shuang at a grave site (she's wearing mourning clothes) and Prince Annan is right behind her looking on (it looks like he brought her there and was waiting for her to pay her respects at he grave site).
There is a behind-the-Scenes clip of Li Shuang wearing black and carrying something that looks like an urn. Prince Annan tries to slip the Jade pin onto her hair and she steps away from him and walks away. It looks like her fenake doctor friend is with her in this scene.
There is a behind-the-Scenes clip of Li Shuang playing the guqin (most likely horribly π) and Prince Annan walks up to her.
There is also the battle scene, with Li Shuang and Prince Annan fighting each other.
Hopefully Li Shuang will not be stupid enough to follow what the empress dowager said to poison (brain devouring…
She won't. She is smart and she saw that effect that poison has on a person. When the sorcerer was dying on Wuling mountain, she clearly hears Mo Yin refer to the brain devouring pill as he reason for the sorcerer's demise.
I'm calling it... The psychopath emperor killed Li Shuang's father. I mean he was already wailing and complaining…
Yeah... Could be that too. However, I just don't see the writing making Prince Annan or any of his alter egos the killer of Li Shuang's father. If that happens, that's a bad omen for our couple's future and it means the show will not have a happy ending for them. I don't want to see that.
In my opinion, this is Cheng Lei's best role, period . A close second and third are his roles in A Journey to You and A Familiar Stranger, respectively. Can't wait to watch him in Mo Li.π
I rewatched the preview for episode 32. Annan tells Li Shuang that heβs being framed, that he didnβt order…
I'm calling it... The psychopath emperor killed Li Shuang's father. I mean he was already wailing and complaining to his eunuch about not wanting to be cordial and respectful to the Li family.
What is the timeline of General Li killing the Yao emperor? When exactly did that killing occur? Wasn't the emperor…
His brother was floating in the air above the pool when he came to saw him on episode 1. Remember, he caught his brother and safely placed him on the ground and then attacked the sorcerer. And his brother watched on horror as Annan was kicked into the pool of blood. So his brother was not stabbed or changed in the shoulders yet.
Someone explained it above. They said it happened after Annan arrived and becomes the Shadow puppet and then falls off the cliff.
Question about Jin An's memories 'Before Jade Removal' Versus 'After Jade Removal' π
I thought removing the Jade from Jin An will cause him to lose all his memories right up till 'when the jade was removed' ? If that's the case, then his memories starting from AFTER ' the jade was removed' up till current episode should not be affected. Which means all Jin An/Li Shuang moments that occurred "After Jade removal' at Wuling mountain; to all their moments at the capital (including asking her father for her hand in marriage), should not be affected. He should not lose those memories because when those moments occurred, he no longer had the Jade in him.
So, why does it seem (from previews of 31-33)that he forgets those memories, forgets he was once referred to as Jin An (even though people were still calling him Jin An after "Jade Removal") ? Why does he forget his connection to Li Shuang, even though they still had the connection and shared moments 'after Jade Removal'?
This site is so weird.
