Question about Jin An's memories 'Before Jade Removal' Versus 'After Jade Removal' 👇

I'm really nervous about the ending for this series. They writing has been great so far. I just hope they do not change the ending from what it was in the novel. I need a HE for our main couple.

When she told him that she had to go and save Jin An, the CP told her that he would allow her to leave the capital if she promises to hand over her army and become a consort in the palace when she returns.

Does that mean that what General Li saw didn't really happen (i.e. his sword going right through the emperor's torso)? Or Did the emperor survive the stab, courtesy of the empress' sorcerer minion?

What is the timeline of General Li killing the Yao emperor? When exactly did that killing occur? Wasn't the emperor chained to the bed by his empress and her sorcerer minion?

Well for one, the show has a character, who is a super-human speedster; can single handedly decimate an entire elite army and has heightened senses.

Goodness... Mo Yin is not the smartest tool in the shed. If he is this way, it means the rest of his sect must be dunces. 😐

Wait a minute, did the CP kidnap Li Shuang? That's similar to what happened in Kill Me Love Me. A character played by he same actor as CP did the same thing to the FL.

This actor is about to be typecast. He better start rejecting such roles.

Hmm... Pretend? That would also be interesting. I guess he might have reasons to do that (maybe to get an advantage over his enemies at court). This would highlight the shrewd nature of Prince Annan.🙂

I agree with you that it would be sad if he totally lost his Jin An memories. However, I don't think that would happen. Even if he loses those memories at first, I think they will eventually return.

I like your take. Especially, how you said Prince Annan will become the dominant personality within him and that he doesn't really know her as prince Annan. If the show goes that route, that would be very interesting and nuanced. It would make this arc really interesting.

Well, in the novel, even though we did not spend a lot of time with the Prince when his memories came back, the novel still showed that he was a bit restful of her at first. So, even though he didn't forget her, he still struggled a bit to reconcile his feelings. He even wanted to kill her at one point but could not do it.

Yeah... That would be heartbreaking.

Someone made a comment here stating that it looks like Jin An already has his memories (or at least part of his memories) back. This got me thinking and I have a a question.


I've read the novel and in the novel when his memories as the prince returns, he does not lose his memories of Li Shuang. Most of us (myself included) have been speculating that in the show, he will forget Li Shuang when his memories come back. But what if the show keeps it the same as the novel - he gets his memories back but he still remembers her? I don't know how that will work. But do you guys think that could happen on the show?

That part is not in the novel. In the novel, when we gets his memories back, he still has his memories as Jin An. He does not forget her in the novel. Also, in the novel we do not spend a lot of time with the Prince after his memories return. Nothing major really happens with his character. The show is doing a much better job fleshing out Prince Anna's character. We are going to have more time with him on the show (compared to the novel).

He's worse! Think of his "Kill Me Love Me" character but with more pettiness, selfishness and jealousy. 😐

We don't know verification they had a past. But you could be right. Especially, since the writing is always reminding us that Li Shuang was an orphan who was adopted by the Li family. What if Li Shuang's biological parents are from the Yao kingdom?
