Episode 18 preview, they are out hunting wild boars, RY sees a premonition when he touches the official and finds out JL will try and kill the official tomorrow on the hunting grounds. RY tries to persuade JL not to go hunt tomorrow.
Yin Xiao is going back to his own country. He says once JL finishes with her revenge he will take her back to his side.
RY is sulking he says YX is a bad guy. He asks JL to not follow anyone and leave. JL tells RY to do what makes him happy, smile when happy, cry when sad, get angry with her if something makes him angry and he can lie to her if he wants. She tells him to be the RY he wants to be not the Young master of the Astrology Hall or whatever first gentleman of Jia Lin. And she will do her best to cure him.
He Shan is celebrating new years alone at his country side home, JL wrote him a letter. He Shan asks if JL, Zhan Ping and Young master are doing well. JL writes RY is doing well and can read longer words, and likes to smile more. RY is asking if He Shan will come back after new year's. She has a new maid with top martial arts. She will ask for He Shan to come back in a while when RY's Uncle is not angry or when RY gets better. Zhan Ping is mad because he thinks He Shan abandoned them, so he took He Shan's share of the new years money to anger him.
JL is going around at night with her guards to kill the people who plotted against the He family.
JL makes the antidote according to Yin Xiao's instructions. JL starts the treatment and asks RY to stay at home for a while so she can look after him.
JL gets called away, Tan the stable girl is here to pass on a note to JL from the emperor.
RY has recovered wooooohooooo. He overhears Tan and JL's conversation. JL says RY is like a child who depends on her and doesn't understand anything. That RY treats her like family. She says in the past RY coaxed her. After what happened to the He family, he saved her, so now he is also her closest family. RY smiles. JL says she owes him alot, she doesn't know when she can repay it all. She says once he's cured, even if she's not here, he will be fine. She says they are on different roads and will separate. That they married only to save her. She doesn't want to damage his reputation by being married to her. She thinks she is not a good person. Tan asks the important question, do you like him. JL says she doesn't like him.
RY must have heard this, and continues to pretend to be silly so that JL will stay with him.
JL takes RY to look at the stars. There are falling stars, JL says if you make a knot in your clothes when you see a falling star you can make a wish.
RY's wish is to always be with JL, to never separate. JL's wish is that RY is happy and healthy living to 100 years old. She also wishes RY to be able to bully others but no one can bully him.
She says if you can't be cured I will stay with you, she says she will never leave him. But then thinks she may not be able to keep her promise. She thinks about her promise to the new emperor and her night activities killing people and thinks it may not be possible to keep her promise even if she wants to.
She starts thinking if RY's Uncle left and she also left, RY will have no one. 😂 She starts thinking about having a baby and leaving a child with RY if anything happened to her.
JL tries to approach RY in bed, but he tries to be a gentleman 😉. Zhan Ping knows RY has recovered but he helps RY to continue the pretence of being a fool.
JL gives RY a book to teach him how to have a baby, but RY gets all flustered. She says wouldn't it be nice if there was a cute little person who looked like her to accompany him if she wasn't there
JL accepts the new emperor 's proposal to be his general for revenge and also to protect Jia Lin. The new emperor gives Jiu Lin one hundred guards to help her in her investigations. These guards were the previous emperor 's secret guards, and no one knows about them.
Jiu Lin stays out all night with the guards investigating who plotted against the He family. One of the people being questioned, I think is Lord Song, says it was all Jiu Lin's fault that the entire He family died. I think JL kills Lord Song.
JL walks home and meets RY half way. RY has come out to find JL, he says whenever I miss you, you appear. JL says whenever I am having a hard time, you appear. She asks RY what if he gets lost if he comes out alone. RY says he knows the road to the shop, to the Astrology Hall and also the road to take you home.
Yin Xiao is waiting outside of Rong Manor for JL. He has become emperor of his country.
The next morning, RY wants to go to the Astrology Hall to learn more so he can protect JL. JL says she will send him to class.
RY's Uncle stops JL and asks to talk. He is hostile and asks what she was doing out all night alone. JL makes a excuse and says she went to see her He family. RY's Uncle is still suspicious, JL says she didn't want to spend new years alone, and didn't want the servants to be with her at the burial site on new year's. RY 's Uncle sees RY waiting for JL and let's her go.
In the carriage JL tells RY that she is a liar and not to listen to her in the future. That he should only listen to Uncle and Zhan Ping. RY says I am yours and you are mine so he will only listen to her.
After sending RY to class, it starts raining ,JL sees her senior brother. Her senior brother knows that He family is dead and wants to take JL away back to his country so she can once again do whatever she wants like when they were back on the mountain.
Song Lin and her brother sees JL talking to a man and approaches JL to uncover the identity of the 'wild' man.
RY arrives with a umbrella for JL, Song Lin is being a nuisance trying to uncover the identity of the wild man. RY gets confused and mistakes Song Lin as the wild man and apologizes for not knowing Song Lin was a man. JL strangles Song Lin for calling RY a fool.
RY wants to stay whilst JL and Yin Xiao talk. JL leaves to get food. Yin Xiao asks RY if he remembers him. RY doesn't remember him. Yin Xiao says thank you to RY for saving JL but says he can't expect her to repay with her whole life and stay with him. Yin Xiao offers him land and riches, to let JL go.

I agree, Rong Yu is smart when he recovers he will figure out a plan. Before he was poisoned he already helped JL sort out the problems caused by her beating up the son's of the officials.

I agree I think he is still pretending to be silly because he doesn't want their relationship to change or become distanced again. He doesn't just want to be friends like JL suggested before the poisoning. He is not confident that JL will love the past him or the cured him.
JL needs to get alot more clingy and cuddly to convince him of her love. She hasn't even confessed her love in words to him yet.

When RY is still acting silly she cries and apologizes to RY for not being able to cure him.

Yes I think it has passed. I think she was supposed to die with the rest of her family. RY's Uncle was convinced RY would never see JL again during the four year separation. But RY managed to find and see JL again, so I think RY changed her destiny to die in four years by marrying her.
