Yeah, the revenge storyline is absolutely fire...I’m hooked on that part! But man, the romance... it feels like a thorn in my eye every time it shows up 😅 I don’t mind romance when it’s done well or woven in naturally, but this one just isn’t hitting the mark for me. Especially with how obsessed the FL is with Zang Hai.. it’s starting to drag things down. Still, I’m hoping it improves because I really want to stick with this drama for the revenge hehe

I thought I like dramas with romance as a side plot. But this one is not doing it for me.
I admit I thoroughly enjoying this revenge plot. i am loving it, but the romance in it...not my cup of tea. I would not have started the drama if there was no Romance tag but still..
FL is all about Zang Hai Zang Hai.... The irony is that I love FL chases ML first but not this one. Nothing against Jing Yi, the FL character is not well written imo
Maybe wait for few more episodes for it to get to better. If it does not get better I am afraid I will have to drop this great drama

If you are talking about personal growth then I have to disagree too. The main couple and 2nd couple all of them had character growth. It was mostly about how Li Chang Ge goes through all hardships and Grows as a person.

I thought TLB didn't focused on romance but maybe I was wrong which means even less romance in this one.
Well I like when characters have depth and not just bland.
I will give this one a try. But maybe need some more time to start this.

Hmm...so this is a political one. Well I like Politics in Historical Dramas with romance as sub plot and not the main story.
I loved The Long Ballad. Should I give this one a chance? Is this kinda same with TLB?

It's up to you. It's definitely not a sad Ending but not satisfactory either. I, for once liked the Second Couple but they had a sad Ending while our main leads had somewhat a good ending.
I don't mind open happy endings but I guess I expected more from this one.

Oh thanks for the help. I founded that at times there was audio but no subtitles and that made me uneasy to continue watching. It's good that I am not missing out because of the app. I actually watched 2 ep and I was not able to clearly grasp what was going on...maybe I should blame my dim wit self for that 😅

I tried but Chinese apps are banned by our govt. But the thing is, I can have access to all other platforms via vpn but tencent is the only app which is still inaccessible 🥲

Tencent doesn't have English version and on WeTV it is VIP content 😣

Yeah official channel but I see very less effort in translation unlike some korean game shows I have watched. Some of them even translate all the little notes and those efforts are worth the praise! And sometime even go as far as explaining the joke and context in subs

I tried getting in to it (season 2)..but sometimes there is no subtitles and many things go over head because all of it is in Mandarin.
Translation and subtitles are an issue😩I really wanted to watch it
