For me, as I watch dramas & BL from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand and Philippines, I have a large choice... but yes, I stopped watching k dramas around 3 years ago. Now I watch but some time to time. The problem is (and every country has this issue, except Taiwan from what I have seen, maybe because they don't produce a lot), it's always the same pattern.... The chaebol stories ? huuugh I just can't watch it anymore... BORING... The bossy control freak non smiling ML ? Argh... already see this a thousand time ! The FL ? if she is not successful (according to Korea point of vue) it's because : she lost her parents, her parents are sick, she is sick or she has a debt. I mean, always the tragical drama... And of course, she is 27/30 yo, and never have been interested in her love life until THE ML and that's why an amazing men just pop up in front of her... and she generaly has no friends but suddently she meets a lot of people and start having boyfriend, friend etc... just like that ! (and specially in Korea, you know it doesn't happen like that). Always the first kiss at ep 9 and trouble around ep 13. Always the same process as James Campbell (Hero 's journey). The only positive thing is that now, we have more realistic kiss... because before.. (some exceptions of course), always the same super surprised round eyes like kissing a fish carp... Last week I rewatched "My psychopath"s diary and before that "Because this is my first life"). I miss dramas like those ones... It's true that in a lot of kdramas now, something is missing, their is like "an essence" missing. Of course some of the recent kdrama are good, but some... definitly not "all". But the fact that we have watched a lot of kdramas since years has something to do with this boring impression I think. Ah by the way, and if you didn't watch the taiwanese gem "Some day or one day", I can only recommand it to you, it was amazing... I wish Taiwan could produce more dramas... they are really good, more realistic but in a way that "even in middle of a pile of trash, the most beautiful flower of life/love can grow" <3 And I love all the folklore they still have in their daily life.

Aaaaaaaaaaah :( One part of me is enjoying the show, the other part want to stop it or to finish it quickly because it's too much pain... I don't even have the words... 😭 as I said in an other post, if I dont have a love like in THIS drama or like in Love like Galaxy, like in The untamed, in Fairy and Deval, in the Double or in My journey to you, I prefer staying single... Honestly I dont't really like the fantastics moments when it's" too much", but the rest... their love story... aaaaah 😭🥹❤️ So strong, pure, powerful, meaningful, intense, vital, Desperate, tragic and self evident...

I start ep 3.... I am already addict... 😭 My emotions are contradictory, and I can't have completely black or completely white feelings for the female lead or for him... On the other hand, what I knew from the first 10 minutes was that I will suffer and cry FOR SURE ...

oh, I had this "symptômes" with The Untamed... actually, it's thanks to Thé Untamed that I watch historical C dramas now... I used to really dislike them before. So I perfectly get it... (And it makes me the same thing with Scarlet Heart Ryo, kdramas...). ok ok I Can see what type of drama it IS 🥰 thank you 🙏🏻
