As a filler between serious dramas, this is great. If you're looking for something deep and meaningful, don't go for this series; but if you're looking to pass the time, have fun, and don't mind a ridiculous plot, this is awesome. :D
probably, yeah... hate-watching is a thing, I don't get it either... there are people who love to complain and…
Now I've heard it all, hate-watching. (I actually googled that. Oh the humanity...) I mean, I have so many series I like to watch that I'd never find the time to actually watch something I hate. :D
I find it ridiculous how people who hated TharnType the series, then actually proceeded to watch the special ep come here and bash the special. (I'm not saying everyone should love what I love; that would be ridiculous as well. But watching 12 episodes of something you detest, and then voluntarily look for the illegal copy of a special ep online, and watch that too? What?! Maybe it's it a type of masochism lol.)
I mean, it's funny at times. The story is a bit f'd up but it is entertaining. I personally watch all the BLs I come across so I'm not the best judge though.
I have developed an unhealthy obsession with Mew. As a grown-up woman, it's a bit shameful, but I'm very happily watching all the videos I can find. It's just... he makes me happy. Seeing him. Face, voice, mannerisms, singing. Such a lovely person. I'd say that it's good I'm not Thai, since I'd probably be a weird stalker if I lived in Thailand. But this adoring from afar... I haven't experienced it since my teenage years and I forgot what a strong feeling it can be.
I just remembered this series, don't remember much and wanted to rewatch... then I looked at the actor list, saw Art's face and yeeeeeah not rewatching then.
Now, this article I feel on a spiritual level. I'm over 30 years old, and have been a horror fan since I was about 13... so you can imagine how many hundreds, if not thousands, horror movies fit in that time frame. In polite company, or with people I don't know well, I'll only discuss the topic if someone else brings it up. (The bigger problem with me is, that it's not just horror in general - my thing for all things serial killer-ish is perhaps not very... politically correct to discuss. :D)
Luckily, I've somehow surrounded myself with many people who share the same interests - in fact, I've been blessed with a best friend who is just as into these things... well, more, since she brings the best new ones to me.
I've never understood the concept that video games, horror movies etc. make people more violent - actually, I find it ridiculous. Just as you said, you're hugging your dog and crocheting baby clothes while you watch - and I sit down with a cat on my lap, killing time, (pun not intended) before I go to work and help the elderly. (No, that does not make me a good person in any way - but it does show that I'm not a very intimidating one.)
Anyhow, sorry for the mini-rant, but the article for great and I did relate a lot. :D
I really wanted to watch this, but I'm giving up since the app won't work for me, and all the videos I find online are unsubbed. :( (But in case anyone finds this subbed NOT through the app, please do let me know.)
I just do not get why people have such a bad reaction to the ending. I knew from the beginning that that was the…
I did, in fact, write my reasons right there, above your comment. Why are you replying to a comment you obviously did not read... or understand, perhaps? Also, "Make our days count" does not necessarily have the meaning that you seem to think it does, and it certainly does not imply that a series with that particular name will have a tragic ending.
I'm not a big western fan, (read: I tend to avoid them like the plague) but I've actually meant to watch this, if not for anything else, then for Shun's cameo. :D I just keep forgetting. So now I'll actually watch it, thank you for the reminder, and the article is lovely. :)
I am so, so, so, SO FREAKING TIRED of writers taking the lazy, unimaginative way out of ending a BL-series: killing a character. Truly, I despise that.
It's like the writer is saying "Gay people do not deserve a happy ending!" everytime I see it. And I certainly would not react this way, were it not used so much. In BL-series, specifically.
I used to be able to deal with it, I swear. But when I saw that it was the freaking TREND for gay series, it started to piss me off, royally. And now? I am so tired of the trope that when it happens, even an otherwise perfect series gets a terrible rating from me.
I can deal with heartbreak, characters dying, drama and tragic endings - but as lazy writing, that seems like a message against homosexuality itself, that gay people always end up tragically? Oh heck no.

I wanted to give it a 10.
Yet... I gave it a 5.
Reason in the spoiler above.
