Tbh the first timeline seemed suspicious to me as well. I still think that he was murdered in the original timeline as well. But you never know 🤔

Loose translation:

The watch only activates when Seon Jae dies, he just so happened to die around 12am the first two times.

I don't think she picked what time but the watch always takes Sol to the past. Since she was already in 2009, it took her further back. They don't tell us when though, so there's a chance that Sol just waited for that time and date to come and then chose not to run into Seon Jae.

Can't deny that the story is pretty brilliant though!

If you're talking about the ending then:
When Seon Jae dies, his watch is triggered - the time travel aspect.
Sol uses Seon Jae's watch to travel even further in the past.
Sol changes the future by changing the Sudden Showers moment. She doesn't run towards him to get the package. Seon Jae never has the love at first site moment and they never meet.
Since they never met, Seon Jae never does trying to save Im Sol.

He's an actor now. He doesn't have any memories from the 2nd timeline since Sol went back and altered the timeline so that Seon Jae never meets her when he's dropping off her package. And thus never falls in love with her.

BUT in the preview, it seems that he's getting emotional when Sol is involved but he can't understand why.

He's obsessed with her because shes the one that got away. He couldn't kill her the first time because she escaped so he keeps on trying to kill her.

In the original timeline, Sol technically gets run over by the serial killer because she stopped running when she saw Seon Jae.

My thoughts are that she managed to escape the serial killer and never got hit by the car because she just kept running.
