I want to give this a try because I like the 2 leads, but I keep seeing videos on youtube calling the ML useless…
Watch it for yourself and be your own judge. This drama has many layers, some layers people never even understand or touch, so their opinions are formed a certain way. If useless means you don't always get it your way, then all of us are useless in this life. Gu Jin can't go slapping people around with his powers. He, too, has to abide by laws and rules like everyone else. He, too, can't always protect everyone he loves. He, too, isn't perfect with no mistakes whatsoever.
All those unfortunate events are solely Jinβs fault. Starting with the Phenixβs failed assumption and by giving…
You do understand, right? If not for Gu Jin's mistake, Feng Yin wouldn't be alive? Feng Yin was supposed to die from the very beginning with or without Gu Jin's interference. But because of Gu Jin's interference, basically trading in his life for hers with the heavenly ancient rock, his persistence in reviving Feng Yin, creating A Yin, falling in love with each other, him trying to save A Yin later on with his god spirit, and all of the events in between, they both became intertwined in life and death, changing their fate to end up together? I still don't understand how people can crucify Gu Jin/Yuan Qi even until the very end saying it was his fault when mistakes happen for a reason, no?! There are such mistakes that seem like errors but are actually fated to be.
All in all, Gu Jin made two mistakes, TWO, by trying to give Hua Shu the Fire Phoenix Jade and the Sky Shrouding Umbrella. But he way than more redeems himself. I'm at a complete loss when people fail to comprehend that and then compare this drama with ALP. π€¨
That's a contradiction. You wish for Gu Jin to perish at the end but if you've already seen Episode 40, you know he doesn't. π
So we're just going to blame all of the evil stuff everyone does in here on Gu Jin? It was all his fault! Haha! Wow!
Xianxia tropes will always be there. It is about how epic the writer of each story could make in connection with…
Yes! Say it louder for the people in the back of how silly the reason Dong Hua Di Jun missed their wedding was! I was like what?! I supported Feng Jiu's departure.π And he's such a respected, old, and powerful god unlike Yuan Qi.
Omg! Yes! I wanted to give this 100 likes. βΊοΈPerfect description of what happened to A Yin which is a reflection of reality. Antis act as if they don't go through stuff that erode away one's self-esteem, confidence, and securities calling the characters of this drama dumb. Like A Yin said at the end of Episode 19, putting an end to her past with Gu Jin may seem insignificant but it costed her all the love she had.ππ
I have to say that I love the man to man talk between Yuan Qi and Hong Yi in ep 34, it felt so heartwarming to…
Yassss, I love the way Yuan Qi sincerely apologized to Hong Yi for taking his place as the groom but with no regrets because when it comes to the one you love, you can't back down gracefully. That, right there, was so good. And Hong Yi being honest about his feelings for Feng Yin. I liked how genuine he was. I do love these short chats between them, rivals yet also good brothers like when Hong Yi apologized to Yuan Qi about Daze Mountain in Episode 33. Well, they both apologized to each other and then drank the night away in each other's company.
Can someone explain why NingYun Mountain must be destroyed? Isn't removing Ayin's immortal bones enough?
For reals, Yuan Qi had to plot and plan, solo, on the spot. π₯² Yuan Qi had solutions all along but they just took time to settle and most importantly, trust. Hong Yi and everyone who loved A Yin blamed Yuan Qi for not believing in her and causing her death BUT that was never the case. He trusted her all along but beyond trusting her, he had to protect her and made sure that she stayed alive. He knew that she was too innocent for the wicked immortals.
That's why when Yuan Qi died, his last words to Feng Yin were even sadder because he had no way out. He had no more solutions but to use his life to save the world again which means breaking his promise to stay with Feng Yin.ππ
Episode 13: When Gu Jin said Xian Zhu must've been heart broken when he was looking for Wan Yue in the Nether Realm. Bro didn't know he'd be doing exactly the same thing too for the next 1,000 years. π₯Ή
Yas! Yan Shuang then waited for over 1,000 years to finally marry Hong Yi because they were still waiting for…
I agree, story wise, those episodes didn't make much sense. However, we had some cute scenes in those episodes, so they weren't exactly a waste.π
Episode 13: Yuan Qi asks A Yin to sign a marriage contract and imprints a soul mark on her.
Episode 14: A Yin in the prettiest green outfit ever and their cutest walk to sign the contract.
Episode 15: A Yin confessed to A Jin that she won't give him up no matter what with the mung bean cake.
Episode 16: A Yin pretends to be injured for A Jin's attention.
Episode 17: A Jin celebrates A Yin's birthday.
Episode 18: We see A Jin stand up for A Yin during the arrow issue.
Episode 19: Then of course, A Jin finally gets his affections ties back but destroys them because he doesn't need them anymore. He's already fallen in love with her all over again. Then him battling it out for Ningyun Mountain.
I still like these episodes in that although A Jin has his affections ties removed, it doesn't really matter because he still only thinks about A Yin, doesn't get mean or fall back in love with Hua Shu.
Can someone explain why NingYun Mountain must be destroyed? Isn't removing Ayin's immortal bones enough?
Now that I think about it, another reason why Yuan Qi had to destroy Ningyun Mountain was because of A Yin and A Yu's safety. A Yin's true identity as a water divine beast was revealed at that critical moment, so now, she'll be even more hunted and in danger than before.
He knew that if Ningyun Mountain still existed, A Yin would never agree to live anywhere else and nurture A Yu there, when Yuan Qi's plan was to protect A Yin in Qingchi Palace. He had to destroy a place that would kill A Yin and A Yu, eventually, as the barrier has been taken and the location was known to all.
I'm so jelly for those of you who get to watch it on Netflix! π₯°
The quality. Netflix is so rich in color and HD quality, it makes the experience so much better. It's like watching a movie at the theatre then watching it at home, at least for me. Haha.π
Just finished this up and would just say that if you like this genre - give it go - but dont expect much from…
I wished they literally copied the ending for Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, so we can see Yuan Qi and Feng Yin hug, cry, and make up after 1,000 years. π
Xianxia will always have the same elements like gods, immortals, many lifetimes, and etc., but every xianxia to me is still very different, storyline wise, so nothing is that predictable. The Last Immortal is nothing like Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms was different from their sister book Eternal Love of Dream, Eternal Love of Dream was different from Ashes of Love, Ashes of Love was different from their sister drama The Starry Love, Love You 7 Times was different from its sister drama Love Between Fairy and Devil, and so forth. All of them, despite being fantasy dramas, have such unique and different storylines. They share similarities but not enough to say predictable unless you've watched 5 of them back to back then yeah, this genre may become a bit much, so that's why I space them out. Or if you're looking for serious plots then this may not be your go to. I like fantasy dramas when I need comedic or reality relief.π
I just want to comment about how we should appreciate and give credit to a friend like Yan Shuang. She is fiercely…
Yas! Yan Shuang then waited for over 1,000 years to finally marry Hong Yi because they were still waiting for Yuan Qi to return and didn't want Feng Yin to be sad. She's such a gem! I loved the friendship in here! I don't understand how anyone can say the first 15 episodes were boring? When literally, they were the adventures of these four youngsters together!
Aw, Happy 26th Birthday to our Gu Jin/Yuan Qi, Wang An Yu! It's February 3rd in China. Wishing him all the love, health, success, joy, peace, fame, and fortune!π₯³β€οΈπ
Haha, what a funny MV! Your comments! I enjoyed it! π
