This drama isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. You can just start it and see for yourself or read some of the reviews to see if it's somewhat interesting enough for you. Everyone is different in the end and if you don't like it, at least you'll know instead of basing it off on someone else's opinion. I adore ZLS and have watched most of her dramas and initially, didn't really know or was fond of Wang An Yu, but after the drama, I've become a WAY fan. However, I haven't watched ALP and most ALP fans here at MDL didn't enjoy it and kept comparing the two dramas. It's up to you. But my advice to you is don't watch it for ZLS or from an ALP mindset. Don't watch it thinking it should be this or that way, it's a drama that may fit others and not you and vice versa, so just take it as it is and you'll be a lot happier. 😂

I think it's best to watch this before ALP if you haven't already seen ALP. Most of ALP fans on MDL don't like this drama. I didn't watch ALP and still understood this drama. It's really a stand alone drama.

Xu Kai looks so good in here and I adore Esther's Yue Qi. I caught up to Episode 30 and it was 😭.

Well said. This drama is more than an eye for an eye. Su Jin in TMOPB is one of the most annoying and unrepenting villains ever. I'm glad this drama didn't go that route.

Hong Yi made quite a few mistakes actually that harmed his Aunt and A Yin but of course, people love to blame Yuan Qi for everything.

Yes, for example, Episode 37, when Qing Yi dragged the reborn Xian Shan to show Yuan Qi, that entire scene was all portrayed through the eyes and WAY nailed that scene.

For reals. Dramas are supposed to teach us something. If all the leads are always perfect with no mistakes, how are we going to learn? 😅

I wish! I would've loved to see Yuan Qi and Feng Yin have those kissing scenes from TMOPB in here or have a child but it's a youth drama. This drama isn't going to be for everyone just like other dramas that you may never get to for one reason or another. ☺️
