I like the cold Gu Xun. If he's not interested, he leaves no room for false hope. Gu Xun isn't even that cold or arrogant of a guy either. Just around Qian Ling, he has to add that extra iceberg, so it can sink her ship for him. He's still nice to her like saving her from that motorcyclist and driving her back to the dorms. I don't find him annoying at all. Then Zhou Ye is so cute as Qian Ling, that her embarrassing moments are rather silly and relatable. This drama isn't going to be for everyone but it's lighthearted enough to enjoy on a slow cold weekend.

Ikr? I finished Scent of Time and a few weeks later was watching Love Me, Love My Voice. Then when I checked I…
I'm a drama fan. I don't necessarily follow anyone. Occasionally, I may for a short period of time, after having enjoyed their drama, and then back to drama watching only. I don't engage in fan wars and don't care who's more popular. I like what I like and that's it. With that said, the Chinese fandom is quite toxic. The more popular one is, the more haters there seems to be especially towards ZLS. Even leads try to outshine each other and can't teamwork for the sake of the drama's success. Sorry if my post came off harsh, all I'm saying is, if it's your opinion, I have no issues. However, your post came off as facts that ZLS and ZY film 3-4 dramas a year and that's not true. It was very simple to find the information, so making a blank statement like that wasn't necessary? Anyway, anyone who doesn't know these actresses may misunderstand and add to the hate train. If it's a fact and people want to hate, sure, no issues there either, but no one should be hated on for false information. I'm actually surprised you're a ZLS fan. You should know more than anyone that when ZLS filmed more than two projects a year, those other projects were smaller roles, so they're not the same. Anyway, didn't mean to come off as mean or anything. Happy drama watching. :)

Yep, I agree. They have to film a lot because they never know what may happen to that drama. Someone from the cast has a scandal and all that hard work and time is gone! So they can't put all their eggs in one basket. They have to keep filming hoping some will get aired and have good results.

I still think their filming schedule is doable. We work every single day, 12 months of the year. They film like two dramas a year, one drama takes about 4 months to film these days, so they film 8 months out of the year, 4 months to do other things like events, fashion shows, award shows, travel, variety shows. Not too bad.

Okay, for Chinese drama watchers, you can't trust the timeline of aired dramas. Just because four of Zhou Ye's dramas aired in 2023 doesn't mean she filmed all of them at once or in the same year. She filmed them separately but the platform and airing committee randomly decides when they'll air. She can't control that.

Maybe when ZLS was less famous and doing supporting or smaller roles, she filmed back to back but she's been pickier, which is good, so last year, ZLS filmed The Last Immortal between December 2022 to April 2023 and then didn't film again until The Legend of Jewelry around November 2023, so no, she doesn't film that often either.

4 of Zhou Ye's dramas aired last year. Based on MDL's photos of filming:

Youth in the Flames of War with Dylan: Filming started in 2019

Back From the Brink with Neo: Filming started mid 2021

Scent of Time with Wang Xing Yue: Filming started at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022

Love Me, Love My Voice with Tan Jian Ci: Filming started towards the end of 2022

This drama, Everyone Loves Me with Lin Yi: Filming started at the beginning of 2023

Her recent drama, The Legend of the Female General with Cheng Lei: Filming began November 2023

If you don't understand something, research it for clarification. Don't assume and talk as if it's the truth. You guys are making it seem as if Zhou Ye or ZLS are filming 3-4 dramas a year and getting them aired all at the same time versus other actresses or they're overworked. That's not true. These actresses have to wait for their dramas to air, too, and some, may never air. Zhou Ye debuted in dramas in 2019 YET the dramas where she's actually the female lead finally aired in 2023. She's been filming this entire 4 year gap yet finally got her chance to appear.

It's only Episode 4 yet we have people complaining about them not knowing their identities yet? I think ya'll are too used to watching 10 minute/episode mini dramas. Haha. Let the story build a bit. I sort of find it very interesting and fun that they don't know who is who yet? Sometimes, it gets less interesting when the leads get together, so just enjoy the mystery and adventure for now.

I love Zhou Ye in here. So funnnnn to watch. It's so funny watching the prettiest girl of a university chase after a guy so shamelessly and very cute at it too. πŸ˜‚

Yes, his voice! πŸ₯° But I understand how people can just like dramas like those, no storyline, just pure skinship. For me, it'd have to be WAY and ZLS. ❀️

I adore Zhou Ye but she doesn't have much chemistry with anyone, so still waiting for her explosive chemistry. Hopefully, with Cheng Lei. I'm not a fan of the LVLMV author. At least you enjoyed the drama.

I've checked out both dramas, they're super boring to me but may be healing for others. I like skinship but these two dramas are a bit excessive and sort of makes the kissing scenes not special anymore? πŸ˜‚I'm not used to seeing TJC so green, so I found him a bit creepy. Then WL tries too hard in both the drama and reality, very cringey and greasy. I watched their Hello Saturday segment. ZJM was cute and so nice on the gameshow. She was very normal while WL was trying to CP so badly. I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for saying all of that especially WL stans who dislike ZLS. πŸ˜‚

She fell first, but he fell harder.
That's exactly what happened. I love how Wang An Yu, the actor who portrayed Yuan Qi said about his character, "At first, he liked her. Then he loved her. Then he 'hopelessly' loved her." Ain't that the sweetest thing?πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

Yeah, I think so too. I just wanted to see them complete the marriage contract they sooo wanted and never got and then both died in between. πŸ₯²

Oops, sorry. I think I misread your post up there thinking you already watched the drama and was asking questions to clarify the ending. πŸ˜‚ In my opinion, you should watch this drama. I may have given you too much info, so sorry for the confusion. You can refer back to this post when you're almost done with the drama, it'll make more sense. ☺️

Just a random thought. After Episode 35, Yuan Qi and Feng Yin patched up, so why couldn't they just make a marriage contract to avoid the rest of the thunder punishment for the god light? Yuan Qi had to take the remainder in Episode 37. Lol No matter what, their wedding was real and their feelings too. They could've continued their contract from Episode 13, this time, with no interference.

Its finally completed on netflix now should I watch this? Also, is Feng Yin still the ruler at the end?
Feng Yin gave the heavenly title to Ao Ge to rule the immortal realm, so she can collect all good things, spiritual aura, into the pagoda to help Yuan Qi revive quicker then the 1,000 years passed.

In the last scene before the 1,000 years, Feng Yin is in the mortal realm looking at the busy street market collecting spiritual aura, she's still wearing the Phoenix Queen ring. However, after 1,000 years have passed, during Hong Yi and Yan Shuang's wedding, I don't see Feng Yin wearing the ring anymore when she brushes Yan Shuang's hair or when she's holding the pagoda at the very last scene when Yuan Qi returns, so my guess is, she's also no longer the Phoenix Queen. Or maybe she is wearing the ring but the camera angle isn't clear.
