This guy is such a good actor - it's unbelievable! Don't let those good looks fool you. This man can ACT! His performance in Someday or One Day is literally one of my most favorites. If you haven't watched that drama - GO & WATCH IT RIGHT NOW! The best Taiwanese drama I've seen so far. I have a huge crush on this guy and will continue to support him in his acting journey~

Edward Chen and Jing Hua are PHENOMENAL actors and their chemistry really pulls at your heart and doesn't let go even after the movie ends. It has been months since I watched this and yet here I am, still numb by the pain of their loss and unable to move on, just like their younger selves. The cinematography is just as breathtaking and the song "Your name engraved herein" is still echoing in my ears, moving me to tears just as it did the first time I heard it! Oh god how to move on from this? I really don't know! I would highly encourage people to watch "Red Balloon" - another masterpiece starring Edward chen that is just as amazing with a happier ending! The Ost there is also stellar just like YNEH!

Great article KJ! I am definitely excited for all these, especially Suptar 2550 - Can you imagine Ken-Anne possible reigniting their chemistry onscreen? I WOULD PAY MAD MONEY TO WATCH THAT! To me, they will ALWAYS be the standard for how well good actors can gel onscreen and move the audience!

I would LOVE to read about your favorite Thai lakorns of 2021, since I really didn't see many this year. I hope you can share your favorites with us. I will be eagerly looking forward to that!

Listen! Bright is doing a great job in portraying Thyme BUT my whole freaking heart belongs to Dew, even though I literally didn't even hear about him before this show! Like he himself is a dreamboat but his portrayal of Ren has so much allure and depth to it! LIKE OH MY GOD! And his chemistry with Tu in the limited scenes they had together? UNREAL!!! I am suffering from 2nd lead syndrome ALREADY & this is the worst I've had it among all versions! How I wish the ending was different but even if it isn't, I really hope these two work together as a couple in a future show cause their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥

I watched all 20 episodes and enjoyed them even though I knew about officer's Jung true identity as the head hunter's…
Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Regarding your questions:

1) Why did the two mother switch their kids?
There is scene where the two mothers sit on a bench and actually discuss this. I'm not sure which episode it was or maybe it was the predator special?

LISTEN! If you have not watched the 2 predator special episodes after episode 15, I will highly recommend you to go and watch it. Although many scenes are similar, they are from a different POV and give a lot of context for Ba-reum's actions.

Now, coming to your question. The 2nd mother (not the headhunter's wife) who also had a child with the psycho gene was always hesitating to get an abortion and even persuaded the HH's wife to not get an abortion. So, the two mothers decide to swap their children to make sure that if the day ever comes where their child turns out to be a psychopath, they would not hesitate to kill him as they would know that it is not their own child but someone else's and perhaps also reduce their agony.

2) How come that father Ko didn't bother telling Ba Reum name when he was being filmed on that show before his death?
Honestly, the edit in the original episode messed up because they didn't show a crucial scene. In the predator special episode (not sure which one), that scene is replayed from Ba-reum's POV and we find that he actually had two videos playing on the laptop that was lying on the ground in front of father Ko. One of the live call with Moo chi pleading his brother to just get angry and the other was of the missing child. He was taunting father Ko to choose his himself over the missing child. That is what father Ko kept looking at even when he could see how badly Moo chi was pleading him to stop. Ultimately, father Ko chose to save the child as exposing Ba-reum's name would put the child at risk.

For anyone who was spoiled about the actual villain and is hesitating to watch the show: GO AND WATCH IT RIGHT NOW! IT'S FREAKING AMAZING!

Standing ovation to all the amazing cast and crew involved with this drama - WELL DONE! I honestly want to give the most credit to the writer who absolutely nailed the script!

Were there a few plot holes/unexplained threads? Yes
Does that ruin your experience? HELL NO!
Should you watch the show? HELL YEAH!

The entire cast is amazing but I have to give the biggest applause to Seung-gi, the talented child actor Kim Kang Hoon, and Lee Hee Joon! They really carried this drama. I was blown away by how well Seung-gi pulled off this character like WOW! KUDOS TO EVERYONE!

I'm not sure about season 2 because I like how the story ended without the bonus scene. IF there is a season 2, I hope it is well planned to the T with an interesting plot and not just something pushed out due to the popularity of its first season.

I love this fmv comparing Thai F4 with their Korean counterparts. I'm loving the Thai version but I have to admit…
Agreed! All of them were gorgeous, especially my fav Kim Bum (still hot by the way!). I'll never forget how much I crushed on curly-haired Lee Min Ho and his childish antics - now THAT was a LOOK!

The production team is doing a great job with this one. Am quiet surprised. I usually watch Thai dramas with little…
OMG! YES! KC and BPS are literally my all time favs. I never thought I'd like a drama more than KC (that Mark-Yaya chemistry? 🔥🔥🔥) but then Pope and Bella crept up on me with their sweet and absolutely adorable chemistry. I am not completely blown away by this one yet but I can definitely see the potential for it to get better. I'll wait for a few more episodes before deciding if I really like it or not. For now, HanaDan remains the best for me.

This show is AH-MAZING! I love the incorporation of Greek mythology in the storyline! Park Hae Soo is amazing as always but I CANNOT STOP RAVING ABOUT LEE HEE JOON! This man is phenomenal. His acting is top notch and pulls you in EVERY FREAKING TIME! HE DOESN'T MISS! EVER! Every scene he is in is intriguing because he commands that attention. And that crying on the street? DAMN! I CRIED TOO! Mouse and this drama are a testament of his prowess and versatility as an actor. Definitely gonna watch everything he is in now and the future!

This drama is a MASTERPIECE! I loved every single minute of watching this series and that is very rare for me. I felt like I could miss soo many details by skipping or looking away even for a few seconds. HUGE props to the entire team! The production was FABULOUS! I have always been a fan of Shin sung rok and he totally owned this series with his brilliant acting! Also, I am so freaking IMPRESSED by the writer of this series! Everything was crisp and clean and every shot had a purpose. They made sure that you could not risk looking away from the screen! I love this genre so much but rarely do kdramas centered around this theme get full marks from me but Kairos EXCELS IN EVERY ASPECT! Heck I would even go back and rewatch it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Taiwan has really produced some of the best dramas in the last decade and quite a few of them are on my all time favorites list. I also love how there are some gems out there that beautifully portray realistic relationships/feelings of attraction and falling in love which is not completely centered around the physical intimacy but is more so focused on the lingering gazes and emotional attachment. I live for such depth in characters and relationships and Taiwan has delivered some of the best gems in this regard. I also REALLY APPRECIATE the diverse genres that the TW dramas have been tackling lately. I am someone who enjoys psychological dramas and even experimenting with different genres, even if they tackle with dark and disturbing elements. So, I really appreciate this list you've put together. Someday or One Day is probably my fav out of all the ones you mentioned, simply because I got SOOO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED AND ATTACHED to those amazing characters and beautiful storytelling style that when it ended, I suddenly stopped watching all dramas for sometime to heal. Again, Great job on the list and I'll be looking forward to your next article!

I HAVE to mention Beyond Evil here! 2021 isn't over yet but this drama is by far my favorite, regardless of genre.

The Script? Engaging!
The characters? Shady AF!
The acting? PHENOMENAL!
The cast? TALENTED AS HELL!
Shin Ha Kyun? MESMERIZING!
Yeo Jin Goo? MY LOVE!!
Dong sik -Joo won team? BEST DUO OF THE YEAR! Their C-H-E-M-I-S-T-R-Y set the screen on FIRE!!!!

I want nothing less than a Deasang for Shin Ha Kyun. He freaking nailed this character! Every scene he was in felt like it was a masterclass in acting and I would honestly rewatch this drama just for him! THAT'S HOW AMAZING HE WAS! Ha kyun sunbae~ I AM A FAN!

Beyond evil is a MASTERPIECE and I'm going to keep coming back to it for a long time just to appreciate how an amazing cast and crew can uplift an already stellar script. Kudos to everyone involved with this project!

On Missing: The Other Side Season 2 Apr 16, 2021
IT IS CONFIRMED! WE ARE GETTING A SEASON 2!! But the cast may change. I just hope that the sequel lives up to everyone's expectations because that first season was near perfect, in my opinion with very strong acting performances by the cast, especially actor Heo Joon Ho as Jang Pan Seok. I would love to see the original cast but since so many of them got closure in season 1, that seems unlikely. However, I think our two leads, Kim Wook and Jang Pan Seok, may still have a story to tell, judging by the ending we got for season 1. Either way, I am really excited for this and now I'm just going to pray that the second season is just as good, if not better!

Here's where I read the news, if anyone's curious: https://www.soompi.com/article/1464510wpp/missing-the-other-side-confirms-season-2-is-in-the-works

YESSS!!! There is going to be a second season! I am soooo excited to see how the writers will continue this story or perhaps, they will start a new one? Apparently, the casting isn't confirmed so maybe the original cast may not return for the next season. Honestly, the whole season 1 cast was AMAZING but actor Heo Joon Ho as Jang Pan Seok really blew me away! He is always good in every drama he does! WHAT AN AMAZING ACTOR!

I just hope OCN and the writers keep that crisp style of short and impactful delivery of the story, without dragging the plot because that is the whole reason the first season was so great! That and the cast, of course!

THEY ARE BACK!!! I've been missing Seo in guk's sultry gaze and gigantic acting prowess ever since "The smile has left your eyes" and Park bo young is always amazing in her roles... I mean she is the CHEMISTRY GODDESS!! She always sparks with her co-actors, so I can't wait to see these two set my screen on fire! LET'S GO!

P.S. HOW FREAKING CUTE IS THAT TITLE?!?! MORE PLEASE!!

Oh man! Talk about a power-house casting! Everyone looks sharp and I'm SOOOO EXCITED to see Yoo Ji Tae's take on the professor. He's one of the best actors out there and he's pretty selective with his roles so it'll be very interesting to see if he can pull this off. Also, I gotta give my girl Jeon Jong Seo mad props for her acting skills - she gave me CHILLS in "The Call" and she MADE THAT MOVIE FOR ME! Plus, I can totally see her being a complete BADASS as Tokyo! I also appreciate how that the casting seems to have focused on the acting prowess and not popularity because THAT IS A HUGE RELIEF!
