THAT FREAKING HUG! ughh... KILL ME! seriously, he played that song for her, looked her in the eye & gave her that comfort she needed after going through so much on her own birthday WITHOUT HESITATION! I love how he can clearly see that she is a great person which is why he feels really bad for her & offers to be her friend. I mean, can we get a good guy like this in our own life pls? someone who cares, someone who's there & someone to hold when you're sad.
OMG that freaking scene in episode 3!!! My man Joon young really is the best guy ever and Song ah honestly deserves someone as kind & charming as him in her life. Gosh, I'm OFFICIALLY SHIPPING THESE TWO! PLEASE END UP TOGETHER & not just as friends!
The first two episodes were SO BEAUTIFUL! You really got to know all these characters, their plans, hopes & the hurt that they're feeling! The musical pieces just amplified all the pain these characters are in and when I was done with episode 2, I could feel it too! The actors are doing a phenomenal job, the pacing is just right and our two leads shine brighter than the stars. I'll be rooting for Joon young & Song ah to find comfort in each other and hopefully, love as well because these two souls just GET EACH OTHER!
I watched the first episode & it was so hilarious! The dynamic of the group is really great & Lee Sang Yeob fit in very well with them. Though, Yoo jae suk is probably having the hardest time of his life dealing with all these eccentric women. I mean Jessi would be enough to Knock him out but now he also has to deal with Somin, Mijoo & Na ra! This group is hilarious and the setup was really great! Even I guessed the wrong ans. If you're hesitating, I'd definitely recommend you to watch it!
I finally finished this and I can confidently say that this is one of the BEST DRAMAS even with some crazy elements. It made me laugh and cry with equal intensity, all the actors were on point and I loved how they weaved the mystery with the hilarious plot. Im soo hyang was a discovery for me & I'm going to follow her work from now on. Overall, I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a binge-worthy drama totally worth your time!
I binge watched 6 episodes and man, I just love how EXTRA everyone is here. I can't wait for Suk-hee to put them in their places! And honestly, though her character is very despicable here, Bae Jong Ok literally kills it in every drama she is in. Respect!
I wasn't going to be critical and all, but got excited earlier so I thought this series was one of the best. But…
Hey! You might wanna add a spoiler tag or atleast mention it because some of the details you said are not in the synopsis and could spoil the plot. Even if it is two episodes, it will ruin the first watch experience of the people who didn't watch it yet. Hope you add a spoiler tag.
I literally just started watching this and 1 episode in, I already love this! The way they introduced the characters was so over the top but I LOVED IT! If you wanna go makjang, better go all the way and I just know that this drama is only gonna get better. And NO FILLERS in the first episode? I'm already impressed!
This is regarding the last episode that I mentioned in the discussions but I'll also post it here as well under…
"Don't cross the boundary" is repeated many times in the drama, almost signifying that you've already lost control the moment you decided to get on that train. Think about it, "choosing" to get on the train in hopes of somehow taking revenge (in do won's case) but then again "choosing" to stay back for a loved one because of your own greed , these were all Do won's choices. He could have gone back after finding out that he is in the wrong place but because he wanted to stay even when a version of himself already existed in that world, it sent the wheels of fate (the train in this case) spinning to set things right. It means that though the choices initially may be ours, "fate" doesn't allow you to experience something and then have the control to change it. In your life, your choices determine your fate but when you try to change your choices for a better outcome, fate doesn't allow it. What seemed like "control" in your own experience is no longer your will/choice. Now fate is in complete control to set things straight. You might have chosen the first time but you don't get to rewrite something you don't like.
The people who crossed the line perhaps can't kill themselves and are instead transported to another world so that they can relive the "tragic" events again, always making them realise how wrong it was to "cross the line". Do won could have chosen to deal with the grief of seo kyung's death in his world and move on. But the moment he got on that train for "revenge" and then stayed back for wanting another chance with her, he basically sealed his own fate. Now, he will never get to move on because it is no longer his choice. Now, he will "have" to watch her die and then relive it in a different world over and over again as now, he cannot die either unless fate chooses to kill him.
WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW! A perfect execution of the concept and its consequences. I just love how much this show made me think about & analyse my own choices and I'm sure you will love it too. So please, WATCH IT!
OCN never disappoints with their stories! I thoroughly enjoyed Train and Yoon shi yoon is one of my favorite actors so it was really nice to see him in a dark role. I really think he is relatively underrated compared to his peers in the kdrama scene but this man has ALWAYS been amazing and "Train" just proves that a little more. He was definitely the most intriguing character of the show but the supporting actors also did well with whatever they were given. The best part - NO EXTRA FLUFF/DRAGGING PLOT! Unnecessarily dragging a plot for the sake of it or forcing a relationship angle in a genre that doesn't require it are my biggest turn offs for a drama but "Train" has successfully avoided both. Yes, there is "some' romance that is largely the motivation of our character but it is not 'in your face' all the time which I was so happy about. The only reason I gave it a 9.5 was because there were some expected twists, sometimes the characters overacted & the ending could be a "little" more unambiguous. But, regardless of that, Train is an AMAZING DRAMA & YOU SHOULD WATCH IT!
I have a feeling that Min Hyuk actually plays a greater role in rewriting these timelines and changing the characters' stories. So far, very little is known about him. Even his emotions seem restrained and his motives are unclear. - Why would he choose Alice over Tae yi and his own son? Is it dedication to the team or something else? - What is his past/future? - Where is he? So far, we've seen both Jin gyeom and Tae yi in different time periods, ultimately messing up the timelines bacause of Tae yi staying back. What about Min hyuk and his family?
I noticed something while watching episode 2 again. When Min Hyuk is talking to the Alice team chief (I think he is the chief, not sure) after the time travel, he reveals that Mr. Oh told him that Tae Yi got married. So, I have a few questions: 1) Did Tae yi actually get married in a different timeline? Because the one we see, she lives alone with Jin Gyeom until her death. 2) Maybe the married woman who is assumed to be Tae yi is not her but someone else? (This is a little reaching but let's keep this open) 3) If Tae yi is married in a different timeline, then WHO IS THE HUSBAND? It can't be Min Hyuk because Mr. Oh would tell him about that (Maybe?) So who is left? 4) Did Mr. Oh lie so that Min Hyuk would never want to go back to Tae yi since the team knows that he has a son (the drones even scanned him multiple times) and they want to prevent Min Hyuk from getting attached to him? 5) In the first episode, the opening line is seemed to be written by Jin gyeom but in the second episode, it seems to be from Tae yi. So, who wrote the book? Was it just one person or did both of them write it together? 6) Maybe it was Tae yi's father who wrote it? But we never see him writing the book, just reading it. So maybe, someone handed the book to him to keep safe? 7) Again, WHO IS THE HUSBAND???
I finally watched the first two episodes last night and man, I'm ABSOLUTELY HOOKED! First off, I'm so happy Joo Won chose this as his comeback project because the concept is amazing and his delivery of the character is Spot-On! I'm excited to see how the time travel will pan out for all these characters. Also, queen Kim Hee Sun practically doesn't age and I'm so happy to see her after I absolutely adored her in"Faith" with Lee Min Ho. And Kwak Shi Yang looks hella fine in this! My god, have I been sleeping on him or something?! Can't wait for the next episodes!
Quick question: was this drama ever advertised as a revenge drama? I don’t think it was. In fact from everything…
My heart goes out to you & your family @Valentina for all that you went through. Most people who haven't experienced the same (like the user above) won't understand what you've been through but please ignore them. I completely empathise with you as I & my family were in a similar situation 8 years ago but thankfully we're in a better place away from that toxic environment now. And your reasons for relating to the story are spot on! My mum still can't forgot those painful memories-neither can the rest of us but while we have made somewhat peace with those times & moved on in our own ways, my mother still clings to those memories. People need to understand that toxic relationships don't just end when one person moves miles away from the abuser. The emotional & psychological pain will always haunt you for the rest of your life & getting help can ease that pain but never fully make it disappear. I have seen it up close & know the devastation & helplessness everyone involved feels. The more passionate the love & memories that you shared were, the more difficult it is to move on. Many times, even I failed to understand why she couldn't just forget about the person who hurt her so much & remove him from her life. However, as I grow older & learn more about the psyche of people, the more I empathise with her& others like her. The whole thing gets even messier if kids are involved as they serve as a constant reminder of the good times the couple once shared & even give a sense of false hope of reconciliation which is not good for ANYONE INVOLVED!
