I honestly expected & WANTED them to kiss, simply because I'm a hopeless romantic & perhaps if this was a mainstream drama, they would have kissed but SF8 is not falling for those tropes. Her refusing to kiss him despite her initial attraction to him & the existence of the world LITERALLY depending on it, was actually very realistic! See the irony there? It means that she didn't want to kiss him just because the world is ending because there is no real relationship there & so she turns away...but he does go back to the past & by the way he responds to her appearing there, he doesn't seem to remember her. SO, what does this mean? I think that Nam woo's inability to control his "superpower" actually saved him since he literally cannot die and when the meteor hits the world, he just goes back to his past with no memory of the future! And Hye hwa didn't kiss him so he doesn't remember her.
But throughout the whole episode, Nam woo always has this uncanny feeling that he will die alone & instantly feels attracted to Hye hwa & seems to know her but can't remember from where which causes him a lot of confusion. After seeing the ending, we know now that he briefly knew her when he stayed in that studio apartment during his police academy training. So, really it is just a coincidence that he can recall her & doesn't hold as much meaning as we are made to assume in the beginning.
Also, I think that last shot of her looking out the window is just meant to tell us that the end is inevitable & no one knows when & how the world is going to end, and we don't need to either! So instead of trying to save the world, just enjoy your today!

It is not perfect but still a good watch! And a little spoiler about my take on what the ending meant if you want to read:
I remember watching "Tunnel" & not being convinced with lee yoo young's acting but she completely blew me away in this role! She completely embodied that robot & that is what made this episode work, without that the story wouldn't be as impactful. To be honest, this episode can be confusing, especially the way it ends and it is not the best episode of the series for me but still a really good watch! WATCH IT FOR LEE YOO YOUNG!
WOW! One of the best episodes of this series! The story was so well crafted and Ms. Hee yon aka our very own Hani totally surprised me with her acting skills! She really disappeared into this role & OWNED IT! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on her future projects. WATCH THIS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I just watched Episode 7 & oh my god guys....they really seem to be going THAT WAY with the story. like WHY?!?! And based on that preview, it is going to get worse!
I can't believe that there are only a few episodes left before this amazing drama comes to an end! I am really excited to see how all these loose threads will tie together as we get closer to the finale. But the important questions are:
Will Shi mok have to face any consequences for his actions in the end or will he find a way to outsmart the baddies & come out scratch free? Will Shi mok EVER GET TO EAT? Will our duo get to have a peaceful meal together? CAN WE EXPECT A SEASON 3 IN THE FUTURE???
I don't know the answers but I guess we will find out soon! LET'S BUCKLE UP FOR THE LAST LEG OF THIS SERIES!
The whole cast is great in this but the Jae suk-Jessi duo is definitely the BEST & FUNNIEST part of the show! They have this natural vibe where their interactions don't seem forced at all & despite the hilarious moments where they banter or disagree with each other or call each other out, you can always tell how close they are & how much Jessi admires Jae suk. If you watch Episode 3, there is actually a really touching moment in the car where she says how much Jae suk means to her & that really made me emotional too.

I just realised something that will potentially mess with our OTP in the future episodes:
Hyun ho might end up taking the position of a professor at the university & if that happens, he might try to use song ah to get back at both joon young & jung kyung for the pain he feels. I hope I'm wrong but if that happens there's gonna be a lot of tears for our duo in the future!
Joon young, you better accept her confession & ask her out or else the whole fandom is coming for you! DO NOT…
But these two deserve it, don't you think? Especially with all the heartbreak & disappointment they already face because of others, perhaps choosing one another will actually give them that much time to heal & fall in love. Although, I think they are already falling for each other, so that's even more reason for them to date!
I'm ready to fight & choke everyone in this drama except our precious duo & the team leader who looks out for them! like seriously, everyone around these two are just so full of themselves & plain cruel, even their own damn friends& parents! THROW THEM AWAY!
This week's episode (Episode 520) is literally one of THE BEST & THE FUNNIEST episodes of Running man EVER! I haven't laughed this much in a long time. - my stomach was hurting, my cheeks were hurting & I just couldn't stop laughing! This is RM at its best - ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! And the MVP of this episode has to be Kwangsoo - this man is hella talented & definetly deserves his title of "Asia Prince". If you're fan of Kwangsoo & RM like me or even if you're just starting the show, this episode will definitely help you understand what makes RM so great & why people love it so much!
Episode 10 is by far the most intense episode of this season! Things are finally speeding up, all those loose thread are linking up & our badass prosecutor Shi mok is ON FIRE! God, I LOVED how uncomfortable & edgy he made Woo tae ha in this episode, discretely exposing his lies to his face without putting himself in the line of fire. It is time all these corrupt people who chose dirty ways to climb the power ladder to face the consequences of their actions & our badass duo is definitely going to get the job done! I AM BEYOND EXCITED FOR NEXT WEEK! BRING IT ON!
Episode 2 was somehow funnier than the 1st episode! Probably because of Kwanghee as the guest. I really have to commend the production team for being so detailed. I failed to identify the fake one again. Also, what makes this show even more hilarious is how the real people act weird because of the camera which makes us doubt them but then the fake ones act so good, you just can't imagine them being fake and you're just like who the hell do I choose now? Also, the guys this time were so good-looking, so definitely watch it!
