In the novel it was revealed that TTJ was her second choice after Xiao Lin. And in a part, she uses TTJ's affection for her, meaning she is deep down selfish. She is the one who is behind misunderstandings between TTJ and Susu. Her end is too satisfying tho, i screamed with joy while reading how SFL ends up.

Oh i liked that arc as it is foreshadowing. On the dragon part, Ming Ye was dying and fell in the river where the clam clan lived. Sang Jiu the clam clan princess, used the artifact that kept the river's water still to save Ming Ye. In gratefulness, Ming Ye married her. Sang Jiu loved Ming Ye, but thought he doesnt love her and loved Tian Huan, his master's daughter. Once every month (this may not be 100 percent accurate, can't really remember if it was every month or every 2-3) Sang Jiu needs to borrow the artifact to make the waters of the river still. It was the consequence of her actions of saving Ming Ye that made the river waters surge. It just so happened that once when Sang Jiu wanted to borrow it, Ming Ye declined as the injured Tian Huan was supposed to wake up and he needed the attifact. Mind you, Tian Huan was unconcious during the whole time Ming Ye was saved and married Sang Jiu. So on that night, Sang Jiu drigged him and stole the artifact. Tian Huan woke up and as the bish she is she was like "Ming Ye is mine, i was supposed to be his wife, bla bla". Wont go into more details, but when Ming Ye was in grave danger again Sang Jiu saved him. She has lost her clan prior to that so she was the only one living from the clam clan. They were in a forest. He was temporary blind, almost lost his senses, but still felt her carring for him, even tho Sang Jiu tried to make sure he won't recognise her. One day, Sang Jiu went on an errand and left Ming Ye alone for some time. While he was alone, Tian Huan showed up and picked him. He left a message to Sang Jiu asking her to wait for him in the forest for 7 days and he will definately be back. Alas, Tian Huan burned that message behind Ming Ye's back. When Sang Jiu was back she didn't find Ming Ye and thought he left forever. She eventually died. Ming Ye on the other hand couldn't get over her death. It turned out he really loved Sang Jiu and not Tian Huan, all was a misunderstanding. So, he decided to seal his dragon form that was really close to immortality in the river where Sang Jui and her clan once lived, giving up on immortality to keep her once home's waters still. I think it was said his body was in the water for 10 000 years, not quite sure if this is accurate tho. The outcome was, he was slowly cultivating in the river, and he was on the verge of either becoming a demon dragon or a God; because of the feelings he felt that hurt him, like losing Sang Jiu and the tad bits of happiness, he was splitting between either becoming demon or god.

Dont remind meee, still cant get over it 😭😭😭 Pre-Divil God TTJ was fir me bearable but the Jing empire was too overwhelming 😭🤧

Oh yes, it was the cherry on top for this journey. As for that lowly wanna be human, i was screaming from joy while reading her outcome.

Exactly, also i cannot seem to get out the rat eating scene out of my mind. Whatever he wanted as a child was cruely taken from him 😭

It is like a shadow. If they cannot be together as immortals, then a part of their soul is separated and sent to a different world (a dream if you will) where they can be together. For susu's case, Xi Wu is probably a part of her soul (her immortal being's true form)

Truly. Also fun fact is in the novel it aint crows, it's blood sucking wasps (or was it human eating wasps?!?) that grew up above human size after consuming humans. The TTJ in the drama is toned down a little, and i aint complaining 😆

Yup, that's exactly what is going on. Apart from the part she is going back in a mortal body. Id say only her soul goes back and ends up in Xi Wu's mortal body.

Cannot really remember if he did stop the ship, all i remember is the harbour and betrayal of his Aunt.
As for the arrows, in the novel he still does not feel anything. He only sligntly starts feeling after their witnessing of Ming Ye and Sang Jiu's story.

Honestly, i like the small changes. For example the ship scene when Susu jumps, in the novel TTJ orders the tribe to shoot arrows in the sea, he does ask tho if she can survive in the water, but overall that part in the novel gave me goosebumps 😶
