It is not tho, its an artifact that will make her passing at 20 years old more violent. In the novel Susu knew XiWu will die at the age of 20, so for her it did not matter how she died as long as TTJ is saved and stays alive.

Neither, they go inside the dream with opposite mindsets, TTJ wants the dragon to become demon so he can consume it, whereas Susu wants to prevent TTJ from succeeding.

In the novel in that scene, TTJ forced some ministers to eat the soup. He then told them they just ate TTML's flesh. Later on when the ministers were out, he told the tribe guy it was just some rats flesh they ate and not TTML's flesh 😶

You should wait for that in the drama, as in the novel her obssesive side was hinted in the nightmere dream when they saved her. That part is missing in the drama. I think tho they did change Tian Huan a little more to compensate and reason her evil side.
