I think this may be the 5 episodes arc/lifetime Bai Lu hinted is the shortest.

For him, this is the moment he has started to have feelings in the novel, the love line if you will, it is the arc that eventually helps Xi Wu insert the nails and exchange her immortal bone/core whatever you call it with his devil bones, and suceeding in her quest.

She dies, the epic tower fall. He does regret it, cuz when susu is back to 500 years later aka present time, he has searched for Xi Wu for 500 years..

He cares about his life more than other people's. He has been constantly under threat and his life on the line numerious times, so for him being alive is the most important, and these people (servants/maids/his brother) do not understand this, they think he should be like other people, when clearly they did not try and go into his shoes...

Ming Ye arc is basically TTJ, XW, BC and XL in a dragon's dream of his life. Ming Ye is cultivating for immortality, and gets married to a clam princess called Sang Jiu, who saves him. Her clan lives in the waters and once every cant remember how many months she needs to borrow a magic item from Ming Ye to make the waters still, which is the consequences of her saving Ming Ye with an artifact. Sang Jiu thinks Ming Ye doesnt love her, but loves his master's daughter Tian Huan. Won't go into too much details, but Ming Ye is saved by Sang Jiu again after danger and she looks after him when he is blind. When she is out of the forest one day, he leaves and when she is back she doesnt find him, so she figures he has left forever. She leaves the forest and eventually dies. It is then explained that Ming Ye actually loved Sang Jiu and left her a message to wait for him in the forest for 7 days. This message however was destroyed by Tian Huan that came to pick up Ming Ye from the forest. Overall it's a battle situation where Ming Ye has to leave, also Sang Jiu's clan is killed prior to the forest part. In the end Ming Ye gives up on cultivating and seals his body at the same place once Sang Jiu and her clan lived. Some parts may not be 100 percent accurate its been a long time since I've read the novel 😅

In the Ming Ye arc, as it is told by Sang Jiu, she thinks Ming Ye doesn't love her even thought they are married. It is later known Ming Ye fell in love with Sang Jiu and it was the second lead (forgot her name, but in her body was BingChen) that plotted against Sang Jiu. In the end, Ming Ye sealed his dragon form under the water, overall being pretty sad Sang Jui is no more alive.

In the novel, she is supposed to insert nails in his heart when he starts getting feelings, as it is said he doesnt have a love line. 9 if i remember correctly, and she only manages to insert 6. As far as i remember she manages to seal the bones. He would still have the bow when she goes back tho. She dies as Ye Xiwu and is brought back to her time. In the novel, Susu knows Xi Wu will die at the age of 20, more like she won't pass 20 from the way her face is structured.

That is true, tho he did visit her on non poison days as well. Best scene was when he had reaction towards being intimate with XW and then while being with BC he was like *huh...but i clearly...towards XW...* 🤣🤣🤣

The poison part, in the drama based on the ep 7 trailer, TTJ is the one suffering the "intimacy" part or maybe they both suffer under it

Episodes of TTEOTM are around the 55min mark, so they decided to do 40 episodes instead of having the new regulations split the drama in between 3 months or something like it.
