Well ML surname is Fang, not Feng. And he likes to splurge when possible. Also I don’t see him as someone who likes to uphold socialist values. And he is certainly not uneducated. He comes from an intellectual family, so his upbringing alone was quite different than that of most workers and he goes to university too.

I‘m an international viewer too and I love this drama! I think it has gained quite some attention and I hope the audience gets even wider. The leads were also in the latest episode of Hello Saturday, maybe that helps too. It’s a wonderful drama with many topics and a great sense of humour and of course a wonderful slow-burn and very sweet romance. The leads are perfect. In recent episodes it got dramatic (outer circumstances) but that’s already over in the upcoming episodes. Enjoy watching!
