I find Han Lian terribly boring, but not as bad a character as TJ was. TJ repeatedly let her down. So far Scholar Han hasn’t done that.

Right now I cannot imagine that XLX will ever fall in love with LJQ. Even if until now she only tried to survive and had no thought to spare on romance etc … if it’s there it’s there and right now there’s nothing from her side.
I also cannot imagine that someone who would fall in love with LJQ could fall in love with Scholar Han. They are completely different types. And I mean not a rational decision for one or the other, I mean actually the feeling of romantic love. Right now Scholar Han seems to be more her type, because I feel she is the „stronger“ part of a couple. LJQ also gives the „stronger part of a couple“ vibe. Curious to see how the dynamics between them will be later on.

She and her father both deserve it.

If I look at it objectively, overall it wasn’t that great of a drama but I find myself rewatching extensive parts of it every year. Allen’s eyes and his slow smile … 😍🔥

She’s a criminal and she would end up in jail in today’s world. People with a criminal mind would have the same mindset also in modern day society.

„Under the Power“ is to this day still one of my favourite dramas. It has flaws and the cgi is old but the chemistry between the leads is insane and I love Lu Yi (ML). TSY‘s character was very different from the one she’s playing here. When I started Under the Power I felt like dropping it due to her character but she is so endearing somehow that I warmed to her soon.

But what is there still to tell? I hope they’ll not put them through the same kind of miscommunications etc again. Hopefully Lumi and Will get their story told.

If you don’t like the drama go watch something else instead of spreading hate here. It’s obvious who your favourite is.
No one is selling sleeping around as feminism. This drama tells the story of two people who fell in love despite the fact that everything else was not right at that time, and who were not able to communicate with each other properly and therefore were not able to live that love freely and have a healthy relationship. But they’ll get there eventually. SZT outgrows her insecurities and starts her own company. And she doesn’t put him on a pedestal any longer. In no relationship are two people always 100% equal in every aspect.

She falls for him at first sight, mind you. She could have chosen the calm, polite and sweet SYZ, but she didn’t want that one.

I agree with everything you said. I have no empathy for someone who deliberately and repeatedly does the wrong thing and who maltreats their servants like this. I know servants were oftentimes treated badly all over the world but that doesn’t make it right here. And her throwing repeatedly tantrums breaking things - it’s not just her acting but I’m afraid the character was written like a cliched caricature. I hope the next female „villain“ is better written.
