The plot may not be perfect, but is quite addictive and engaging, that's why your points are not noticeable..…
„ , LQQ hadn’t been in the valley for a very long time. Almost no one knew who he was. He was busy with court affairs and his own agenda. It’s very likely that he wasn’t even aware of the immortality tax as this was not a tax collected by the emperor but by the sects. So also in his role as official he certainly didn’t have anything to do with it.“ This is what I wrote before. We don’t know when he learned about the tax. And maybe he was too busy before with his own affairs to go and confront ST. I really don’t see any contradiction or other issue with him confronting ST at that point when it was shown in the drama.

You ignored what I wrote in the end of my comment above. After LQQ saw all the bodies of people killing each other for the pills that was when he rushed to confront ST. That triggered his anger. I really don’t see why you have such huge issues. We never learn in the drama if LQQ was aware of the tax before and when exactly he learnt about it. It’s what I wrote in my comment already before.

I don’t see the issues that offend your intelligence. The other poster explained it all very well imo. The FL hates injustice, that’s also why she lectures everyone so passionately. And about ML getting so mad in the valley, it was not mainly because of the immortality tax but he got so mad mainly when he realized that people were dying left and right because of the pills. After that he went to confront Su Taiye. In general, every drama has its small flaws. Also, I forgot to say, LQQ hadn’t been in the valley for a very long time. Almost no one knew who he was. He was busy with court affairs and his own agenda. It’s very likely that he wasn’t even aware of the immortality tax as this was not a tax collected by the emperor but by the sects. Yes ❤️ This is the most addictive drama for me so far this year. And I love the themes it mentions as well!
I love Chen Fei Yu and LBTG was very good but after they went to the Void I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the episodes before that. But here we’re only on ep13, so hopefully it won’t go downhill from here.
Of course on IQIYI. Why would someone want to support piratery and illegal sites?
It’s a crime. It supports criminals instead of supporting the production itself and the people who worked on it. Views on illegal platforms also don’t count towards viewership numbers.
Very deserving!
