Agree to disagree, this drama is far from stale lol. I have tried many dramas, the first few episodes are always meh/predictable/forced, even LYF 🙄. And to say the leads chemistry is not good is rather laughable. If the leads chemistry isn’t explosive, I doubt 7mil ppl would eager to watch it after seeing the trailer

Personally I cringe whenever TLB is being used as an excellent drama lol. Everyone’s love is different, but I just couldn’t stand that drama after ep30 something lol. Anyway, let’s just say I like this one miles better than TLB lol. Again no disrespect to your liking of TLB, it has been a long day where most comments I read would cite TLB as the ruler lol, and I’m like 😭 inside lol. That and WRTW 😤😤😤😤

It’s the way they chose when to slow-mo, and when to pick it up, without the transition in between to lessen the obvious (in my hubby’s words: production quality is crap). I noticed it straight away, so was my hubby who I later on show for second opinion.
Also another user has also confirm the fps went from 30 to 60 then 30. It’s a cheap trick to make the action seems fast

The fight scenes are spectacular due to the extras (those that got killed) doing all the flips and spins lol! The fight scenes are pretty meh, sure it’s beautiful, but it lacks impacts. It’s missing that oomph factor. I don’t feel excitement nor joys watching these fight scenes and I love a good fight scenes. Even my sassy princess fight scenes were miles better lol. It doesn’t have the flare, but you feel they are fighting, whereas here, they are posing 😒

2 - lol. A lot of us loves it. Me n my husband - how we teach children to read the room 🤣🤣🤣🤣
3 - married earlier - yes n no, a lot of drama lost its sparks when the couple married, and presenting problems so the couple can solve together also say the future is going to be full of this. Whereas here, they are blissful lol. We get to see and feel how blissful their lives are, from a private wedding to when they have kids, they are in their own world, being happy :)

Look, personally I love it, like it’s the best drama of the year for me. The romance is slow but it needs to be, there might not be romantic feeling from the FL, but you can see ML has been loving her since like ep3-5? (I can’t remember exactly). Then you have to go through the brooding phase, where ML eats all the lemons, before you get to the sweet parts. But you can see at each place, how he loves and respect her. Took her awhile to see pass the prejudice but she got there. I would say stick with it, follow the story, don’t skip, you will see it’s a gem.
Ultimately if you just want lovey dovey, just watch their shorts on YouTube/douyin lol. The journey is amazing, and I won’t back down from saying it.

With ZYZ, she didn’t know he was short change her behind her back. And as a double agent, it’s rather hard to figure whether he works for you or not. It’s only in the later stage where he definitely did not work for you. But in every other stage before that he didn’t harm them. And JXN does not hold one responsible for future events one might capable doing.
XW didn’t hold her that tight. She can escape if she really want it lol.
She isn’t pivotal to the story- I think in a sense that’s the idea. Only through this way, she gets to see the real XW, the one she could not see in previous life because she was too busy scheming. Take a step back and see a whole picture - this describe this perfectly.
It’s also about perspectives, it’s through these events where she who has not been in, yet trust XW whole heartedly, she learned how wrong her assumptions of all the things he did in first life. In first life, she didn’t even know his rebellion was due to the 300 loyal souls

It’s a ying and Yang of the puzzle pieces. I like how the drama show her plots and show his plots. His plot was from the beginning to end, whereas hers is just pieces inside that. And technically she has zero powers, so it’s good to see she’s not out of characters and they didn’t make her to be superwoman.
In regards to their relationship, the novel has a longer time they pretend to be a couple at lord PingNan’s place. And it went from being shy to down right flirting to acting for real. During this time, I think her protective barriers against XW peel down. Also it’s very 15+ so they are not going to show it lol

To reduce the hate I think. Over sharing might lead to accidental harms. Like we don’t see any thing wrong with any clips, but cnetz will dig, and any slip might hurt SOKP and ZLH

The romance is slow build and you can see the chemistry from the get go. The political scenes are interesting, not too long, and it moves fast. Stick with it and you’ll get a good slow burn lol

Interesting. My dearest is new, and Korean style period drama, so would be a lot of heartaches. Meanwhile, TLOZH got quite a lot of hates when it was broadcasting.
