Sooo only like 25mins in the first episode, so far, I agree with everyone on the move name appears on the screen. The font is bad, and it’s distracting the viewers from the fight, also why repeating the showing of the same move lol (yes, I guess it’s the special kill move but geez, are they planning to make a game out of this lol).
First 3 mins was funny lol, I do enjoy the fight with the mage’s moves, minus all the crappy names (no one care 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️)
Also watching the boy practice on the tree, and immediately I’m thinking of my son and me goes: Oi! Stop killing the tree 🤣
A few complaints: if you are going to make a drawing version of XK, make it look good or cute? Lol, just don’t make it look worse than the real version.
When he broke his spear in 2, I was expecting a new move name appear on the screen. This drama has great potential for comedy lol, at least it’s trigger my funny bone 🤣
Also, why would you let a child with an ancient bloodline live 🙄 wouldn’t he later on be your problem 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️?

In the novel, the sword doesn’t get much show off like the crossbow, which is pretty much the same in the drama, so yea, crossbow lawl. Also it’s god slaughtering, nothing scream OP than god slaughtering lawl

Northward is what they called a serious drama, not an idol drama. Think of ordinary greatness by BL last year. It will feature really good actors and actresses, helmed by really famous director and script writer. Considering this, ZLY and DD have 2 serious dramas now, with DD only have prosecutors elite air, the other is still in filming. And both are in the game a lot longer than BL, and a lot more famous. Meanwhile, with northward, it’ll be BL’s second serious drama, aside from ordinary greatness. The kind of drama that will be air on cable/tv rather than just web platform. Also northward is based on a famous book.

The plot is followed a grp of people that live in this town/village, and go through the years, how they grow up and deal with life. Yup, do not sound exciting at all, but that’s why it’s classed as a serious series lol. However, due to the episode constraints, and the difficulties of it, they will focus on the 90s time period

YBC was his “first affection” when he was copying XL. Back then, he wants YBC because XL wants YBC. So now he has the chance, he lets her being close to him and as @Megumi-H said he was confused about his feeling for YXW. Many kings have lot of wives, so he couldn’t possibly just love this one woman?!

It sounds like northward is a better choice career wise for her anyway. So I guess we can shelf this one lol

Yea, I went and check out the manhua and it was funny at the beginning but too many last life this and therefore I’ll do this. Got bored lol. I doubt she would pick this one, unless there’s an actor she like to work with, or this one is 3 years down the track maybe. But ten cent is being hopeful here.
