From the spoilers it looks like they changed very much things in the ming ye arc.
We will just have to wait and see. Initially, I was sad that we won’t have the fake bride and tree demon part. But after watching it, I can say I’m pretty happy with the change lol. Is it exactly the same as the book? No. But it kept the essence: they swap eyes, show she would do anything for him, and letting him see she does care.

Just saw on YouTube, apparently it’s SJ and MY! They even have a grand wedding, which is very opposite to the book. But then I guess they are going for the route - higher hope, bigger fall. Imagine if your groom did a grand wedding with you, sleep with you on the wedding night then proceed to ignore you for the next 5 years!

I’m a bit mixed. I love 10miles, but I did not watch the whole thing because omg DRAG! The amount of filler and boring plot is sooooooooooooooooooo long in that one. I literally skip at least 1/3 and still understand everything. It has high score from me also, but that’s because I enjoyed the main lead’s plot (minus the first 10ep of the FL 😒), the music, and their chemistry lol. No other xianxia have managed the same to me after that one, due to drag n I don’t feel the chemistry as much or the FL acting is just terrible/grating on me

In the book, it describes TTJ has such a rough childhood, and live by the mercy of others, and by doing whatever other wants him to do. He never fight for anything but food. However, the first time he saw the beautiful goddess statue, he must have it, his crazy mind is crazy about that statue. He will stare at that statue for days, he would keep it clean, afraid his dirtiness would make it dirty. It was his treasure! However, his brother found out, and smashed the statue. So he ate all the fragments 😔😱

The reason why he didn’t seem to pay attention to why he’s ok, his poison, his eye, etc is because as far as he concerned it’s because he absorbs the world alluring jade. He passed out, when he woke up, she was gone. So he thought she just abandoned him, after all, it’s not the first ppl abandoned him

Haha, it’s a homage to the book. In the book, she would hit and punch him repeatedly, even when he’s injured. But he secretly love it 😂😂😂 I love seeing her punches on him. And I appreciate the writers to put that in here 😅
Regarding the randomly walking across the coastline and find him, well, due to the time restriction, we couldn’t go into the fake bride with the tree demon event which lead them to find the world alluring jade lol. I take it as the writers’ way of saying well, if you are book fans, you know what we have to skip. For non book fans, we don’t have time to go around and explain this, so we will just stick with the normal tropeys stuffs lawl!

Uhm, about the jade not being stored within her body, maybe because if you store it within your body, you absorb it? And get cursed? Lol. I didn’t think much about it until you mentioned. In the book, it’s a flower, and it was pluck out from a tree demon lol. So they have to change how he gets to know it.
Regarding the zombies, it’s basically the normal zombie lol. They only want to bite and attack people.
The Sheng kingdom didn’t know he could control animal. No one knows, and because he doesn’t mingle nor talk to anyone, he’s pretty low threats. And your point on he’s being a hostage prince and therefore ppl has more favourable opinions of him is in ep 10, while he was going to his palace.
