1: in the drama, it did highlight only a few can control the animals. So far, TTJ, his mom and the chief guard. The Aunty and nanny couldn’t, there were a dialogue about how that was the case. Also it seems they take a while to figure it out they can control the animals lol. Like if TTJ can control animal that well, he would tell the fish to just swim to him so he can eat them instead of him trying to fish them 🤣🤣🤣

2. Haha, I was also laughing at the pestle and mortal, too. In regarding of the house though, a few minutes ago, she was at a village. So an abandoned house near the water isn’t far fetched. I agree about the hair and the clothes being too clean and pretty at times lol. In the book, she’s constantly wearing dirty and torn up clothes and ML loves it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

As a matter of fact, the drama left out one very cruel point: TTJ used zombies to win the war (or not yet there). But he would kill the people of his kingdom, who live at the border, turn them into zombies, so that he gets an endless number of zombies and win the war.

The thing about him being a hostage prince and why people do not give him 2 cents is because everyone knows his story: how his dad hated him, and he has been living in the cold palace for years. You don’t fake it since birth lol.

Edit 2: so there is a line she said oh, the jade can help me connect with my artefact harp! So in the book, she got the jade bracelet that give her power now and then. But then it got destroyed and replaced by a harp. Due to time constraint for this drama, we went straight to she has the harp already. It’s also in ep1 I think, where the harp has always been with her, but because she’s a mortal, she can’t use it. It’s also true to the book. In the book, the harp’s power is increase if her power is increased. The crumbs are there, but only book fans can pick them up :/ which is a pity :(

You are not missing anything, no one knows she’s blind in 1 eye. The jade gave her eye a normal appearance. Only when she jump off the tower, TTJ saw flashes of purple coming out of her, that he knew she has the flower and not him. At the same time, his eye starts to bleed. He knew immediately that his eyesight was restored because he got her eye, and not because he has the jade. The whole time, he thought he has absorb the jade, got it power, his eyesight was also being restored by it and his poison is also cleansed by it.

This late notice is also why he didn’t care when he found out she’s blind. To him, it’s like one day she goes blind, could be because she has been in the dungeon for too long, no sun, no good food, being treated badly, she was also kinda got tortured/injured and didn’t get treated, so she was sick with high fever. The witch isn’t YXW but the clam princess. In the drama, BL is acting as the clam princess, hence why they blur her out lol. And yes, the reason why the jade chose her is the same reason why YXW is acting as the clam princess in MingYe dream, because their personality is most matched. I do agree that it does make it very tangled and interesting lol

In the book, everyone was in awe at how fast he become a king. But since he can use demonic forces to help him kill ppl, he can just do whatever, that’s why all the officials are afraid of him. TTJ needs him gone and not so publicly, so possibly that’s why it’s not very dramatic? Also since he can control animals, it’s a surprise he takes this long to sit on that throne lol.

Regarding YXW, in the book, because she has proven herself to be capable of taking care of herself after the event at the prince mansion (where TTJ killed ppl with his crows/bees in the book), and because the family is in a hostage situation with the Sheng King, it’s safer for her to not be in the mansion.
