Lol, I’m watching this drama for the second male lead and second female lead, just so happen Dylan is the ML and he happens to suck at this role, so we have every right to comment on it. The heaven king could be a narcissist lol, and could make it an unbroken curse lawl. It said in ep6: the loufeng Pavillon capture the yin souls, STORE it, and use it whenever the sky net needs mending. When Xiaohou Xue die accidentally, her soul arrives at the pavilion. Whenever the FL pass away, her soul arrives at the pavilion, sooo doesn’t matter how she die, she will arrive at the pavilion??? Because her soul don’t just magically float to the sky net, find the crack n fill it lol, XQX will have to do it manually lol (at least by their saying lol)

The black portal is the evil realm. Keep in mind in Chinese folklore, the lord/king who oversee the passing souls isn’t evil, unlike in western believes. Since they were in heaven when the punishment was carrying out, the 2 portals that opened up was human world and the evil world. It tends to happen that if you are a fallen fairy/god, you go to the evil spirit, but XQX used the last bit of his power to guide her to the human world.
