I FF quite a few part in love and destiny, and I agree it’s not the best however, the acting of the leads really draw you. So what it proves is acting make a mediocre script better, while mediocre script will not help mediocre acting. Main problem I have with L&R is I’m not interested in keep going.
words of advice: in order to enjoy this drama for what it is, avoid this comment section that is infected with angsty fan girls (that seems to lack brain and comprehension)

What’s more baffling? Some fan girls use inappropriate, exaggerated words for something not happening, or you tried to validate that behaviour and say the word is right >_>

I love eternal love and love and destiny, but AOL and this is too similar: FL basically doesn’t get what love is, innocent n basically just all over the guy because apparently no one teaches them girl and guy are different and that lead to them fall in love with each other *rolls eyes. Also any drama that makes me annoy enough to drop it will be under 4. This one is still playing but I have no drive to continue however it’s a safe drama (predictable), and hence it’s still playing on my tablet while I’m washing the dishes
Up to ep10, and it’s long and predictable, pretty boring in a sense it’s nothing new (I didn’t watch any trailer but based on the opening and the ending credits, I can see where it’s going). I can’t say I feel the chemistry between the lead or how good their acting is (acting ain’t down right terrible but just passable, nothing to ride home about). After listening snow tower, it seems the FL actress can only be in drama where good acting equate zooming in to those clenching fist, and nervous and high tension equate to chewing mouth =_=?!

I agree with you about how MY doesn’t know what she wants in life and how she wants her man to devote everything for her. But I don’t agree about her son. Did you not see the bit where the king made it so that he would be assassinated if he can’t be the king? And how she truly believe even if CX becomes king, he would not be able to protect her son? And her son would need to live in a life of hiding, running away, and scared for all his life? Or are we just going to believe that CX can just kill the 3 armies so this won’t happen?
MY might be fickle and unsure about what her heart wants in regard to man, but she knew she would protect her son at all cost. And yes, possibly why she can be the king, because as the king said in regard to CX can’t be a king, he’s too soft in crucial moments, if you are going to the the top man, you need to be heartless when it’s required. And she’s being heartless as it’s required.

Like I said before I haven’t watched L&R even though I heard it’s a good drama. But because of that, idk the actor. The ML’s character, story and development have been done before. I don’t feel the actor is that great at acting to catch my attention (maybe he is but not to that extent I’m sorry, need amazing acting like Zhou Dongyu to change me xD), so I just skip lol.

I’m not saying it’s romantic, I’m saying I do feel sorry and sympathise with him. We have seen all the events through the FL’s perspective, so we know she’s good. For the king, he’s the last to know, he also knows she’s very smart, and always keep things away from him, how can you trust someone when you only know about 20% of their thinking. The FL would save the ML over the king if she can and if it does not put the country in chaos. Now knowing your wife would not treasure you, would you not be paranoid lol. How is he mistreating her? By not pampering her? Ignoring her? Because the servants think she’s unloved by the king and therefore don’t give her stuffs? When she is asking to be left alone, not being in the limelight and a target for other especially now she has a son? Maybe I’m so used to watching harems when if the ML is a king and he does all this ignoring for the FL is a good thing and we empathise with him, so I’m easy on the king, even though they didn’t show the king was trying to protect her. He’s half half about this (as in not as thoughtfully as the usual ML in the king position, but again, why I said he has flaws). Anyway, just saying I pity and empathetic about the king, not saying you are wrong :) I feel for him, that’s all
When the King blames the stupid sevant for letting our FL die, saying "Who gave you the guts to mistreat my consort?"…
I think it’s a bit unfair to say that? Initially he treats her so well, however, there is a huge misunderstanding, and the fact that she was unwilling to talk about how he’s saving the nation make her rather go back to dream of her broken first love than trying to work on their marriage, isn’t helping the situation?! And when he found out the cause and how she’s still hanging on to her first love after so many years together, any man would be heartbroken. We expect an undying love, but that’s not reality, what the king shows is much more realistic. He is in the love her to death and can’t live without her, but can’t let her go, trying to please her by loving her and showering her with titles, gifts and she shows a cold shoulder. Trying to appease to her “I want quiet and no harems fights” by not showing his love to her, and that is being too cold. (And when people use this as a way to mistreat the FL, he’s now being blamed for not being good to her lol). Save the FL and not her sister will get just as much hate as let her die, because it will break his heart. Dude just can’t win lol. I know I’m the minority here, but man, the king’s position is just terrible. And I do sympathise with him.
