I swear ppl just like to complain without having a reality check. Fact: most guys look younger than their actual age! I knew a guy, he’s well over 50yo, but he looks so good and not a day over 40yo! all of us (over 40yo women can’t stop joking about how hot he is 🤣 even the men in our training club also like: dude is putting us to shame 🤣🤣🤣). Even my partner, who is 46yo, everyone thinks he’s 38 at best! It’s just how guys are built! And then they are like but we don’t like old men, Vic Chou still looks good for his age (50+ I think), but they are like he’s an uncle! There is no pleasing them 🙄🤦♀️. BL looks fine, she doesn’t look too young, she doesn’t look too old, just right! She can be soft, she can be a fierce woman! A good mix of everything! That’s why I enjoy watching her 😄

Haha yea (I agree it seem short), though at the same time, cooking medicine takes ages, which train patience, the one thing she’s severely lacking. She’s all about growing fast and hard, she doesn’t want to stop, she just wants to rush. Whereas you can’t rush traditional medicine or it’ll be ruin. You can’t rush growing or it will die/get corrupted. Which is why I don’t think it’s a filler. It taught Bai Shou (I can’t abbreviate it to BS 🤣🤣🤣) to slow down, and not rush in order to gain a strong foundation. Which I think is an important growing moment for her, as she realised she can’t just rush it to achieve her goals, because this rush might just ruin everything for her, and she may only has 1 chance to do it right

It’s not an unpopular opinion (it’s just the other side doesn’t say it much, but as you can see many also said they don’t like the Opening credit lol). Anyway, while I agree the talking was distracting, if we take the talking out, this style of opening is actually the old way. Only recently, that the Chinese drama used animating/pictures/drawings/painting rather than moments in the drama (this is date back to 1980s, with TVB/HK style of opening credit). Which is why you said it feel old fashion, but in a sense those new “popular” opening credits are bland to me. For example, the current flourish peony opening credit - while beautiful, it has zero interest in me, it didn’t generate one ounce of interest nor did it leave any impression on me. Maybe because it’s just beautiful painting, it might has something to do with the drama, but by and large, understand the credit bares no effect on how I will perceive the drama 🫤 so I just skipped. This is not a dig on FP, just that I had the exact same train of thoughts, and it just dawned on me while watching FP, idc for these kind of opening credit. And tbqh, if the music for the intro for TTEOTM wasn’t good, I would skip it, too lol. It almost like the animate/pretty drawing style opening credit works when you know/watch the drama. If you haven’t watched or don’t know a thing about the drama, it has zero draws (especially if the music is not good). Whereas the old style, you somehow just keep watching, and in a sense, it draws ppl in, especially affective in term of pulling new viewers. Example: you go to a shop to get something, shopkeepers has the tv on, and as you pay, you see the opening credit, it draws you in, making you want to check it out (which is what the old style of doing opening credit supposed to do). So maybe it was done for this purpose 🤷♀️
