This story is spectacular!!! Not a fan of historical fantasy drama but this one was my most anticipated fantasy series due to the strong chemistry impact that Bai Lu and Leo Luo left in me from Love is Sweet. The cinematography is a masterpiece art. Ep1 and I’m already immersed with the story concept. I am in awe of the characters, especially the two main leads. I sympathise with all the sufferings and humiliation Tantai Jin had to go through; he is such a layered character but I’ll choose Ming Ye over him in a heartbeat. Regardless of his sufferings, evil is evil. So, my hope is that in the conclusion, he’ll earn his redemption arc.
Five months since the conclusion of L&P and yet Li Xun and Zhu Yun still own my entire dramaland heart. I still can't find a series as impactful and immersing as this series. No couple thus far is on par with Feiyu and Jingyi’s chemistry. This series is unarguably an all-time favourite of mine.

Thus, Li Xun let them be. During the time of presentation, Zhu Yun insisted that they should call Li Xun to do the presentation instead but GJH insisted that they don't need him for it. While waiting for their turn to present their proposal, GJH made an impromptu changes which ruined their design and made him panic. Even if Li Xun didn't passed a different plan, GJH will still end up humiliated because of his own doing. If not of Li Xun coming they wouldn't even be able to carry on with their presentation. If I was in his position I would be relieved that Li Xun came to save them just like how Zhu Yun felt. The wrong thing Li Xun did was to approve the design they wanted. He should have insisted his design instead of theirs when he already knew that it won't worked or won't even be accepted. They're all both in the wrong yet you put all the blame to Li Xun.
2nd: the situation was urgent that giving a call would not come to mind. Moreover, others in the base didn't complain about it when they all have a fair share in making the app because they understand the situation. Only GJH made a complain because all he care about was his effort and he really did not understand the situation that their friend's future is on the line. Perhaps, if he was in Li Xun's shoes he might do the same thing if the girl that was in an uncompromising situation was someone he cares so much about. Also, Li Xun didn't sold the app, he gave it away because it is what Zhang Xiaobei really wanted in return of withdrawing the punishment for Zhu Yun which is practically expulsion.
3rd: it wasn't even Li Xun's fault. He was tricked by FZJ to make an apology and in return he will leave GJH alone thus Li Xun apologised because he already regards Gao as a friend. In fact, GJH was even delighted when Li Xun apologised in front of everyone but what they all did not know it was a trap set up by FZJ. But since you fast forwarded it you wouldn't understand.
I'm loling at Li Xun being dictator lmao he has a sharp tongue and perfectionist yes but he was not a dictator. He cares for his friend that's why he even helped make an app for their senior Han Jiakang to help him in selling his fish. He cares for others that's why he wants to create a medical app to help the cancer rate to go down whereas GJH sold the medical app for what? To create games that he plagiarised.
Li Xun lacks communication skills but it is not nonexistent if it was he won't be able to work with others. Li Xun never had a problem with his coworkers and even with his other schoolmate. Their teacher likes him, the elders at the inn he stayed in when he visited Zhu Yun during New Year, likes him, too, that they were even happily playing with him.
Even FZJ managed to moved on from his animosity against Li Xun only Gao remained stuck. You know why? Because he can't acknowledge the fact that no matter what he does, he will never surpass Li Xun; he can never put him down. Yes, he managed to put Li Xun behind bars but Li Xun managed to resurrect from destruction and rise above him again which he cannot accept.
Gao became what he is because of himself not because of Li Xun.

They were actually always together in almost every scene however majority of it are not lovey dovey scenes but yet again their intense chemistry were sustained all throughout the series. This is not a full-blown fluffy romance rather a mature type with enough sweetness, comedy and bitterness but if your preference is a fluffy sugar romance then this story won’t fit your taste.
