For someone who watched and loved the S1, I similarly loved and enjoyed this S2. I love all the detectives, their team leader and their chief, especially their antics and their ways to get their case rolling and accomplished.
Iam relating more to sungcheon.....we can't be terming him as selfish when he only resorted to that after being…
You're right. It's not like he's done what he did merely for himself when the first thing he did after switching as Taeyong is to help them lift their burdens and safety his friends from Janggun's bullying. Those who label him as selfish or greedy has not yet gone through the sufferings of being empty-handed and being stepped on and beaten up almost on a day to day basis. What also pushed him is his father who prioritises his dreams first than going out to work so he can put foods on their table, support their education and help their mother to make ends meet. It was unfair in fact for Seungcheon that his Dad only came to his senses after he switches as Taeyong. Poor boy.
The saying is true: you'll never understand someone's situation unless you wear their shoes.
Lee Seungcheon and Hwang Taeyong suffered both that was unarguable but they were never in the same boat; they were just in the same storm however, Taeyong is on a yatch while Seungcheon is drowning.
Moreover, the difference between Seungcheon and Taeyong is their capacity and ability to confront the sufferings in their lives. Seungcheon is emotionally resilient and driven with no power and wealth to back him up whereas Taeyong is emotionally vulnerable and unmotivated but with power and wealth to back him up.
Their both pitiful.
I empathise with Taeyong but I'm rooting more for Seungcheon he's gone through several ordeals by himself when it could have been avoided if only his father was responsible from the onset.
I wish they'll both have their own happy ending in the finale, especially Seungcheon. Looking forward to the future episodes and also hoping the story won't go downhill as it progresses to the finale.
This is interesting. Sungjae has always been a natural actor for me. Looking forward to the following episodes. Hopefully the story won't go downhill as it progresses similarly to how the drama it replaced has turned out to be.
From the actual Big Mouse revelation, the story has regrettably become rather predictable and common. The scenes inside the prison were more interesting and smarter than when they were all in the outside world. The ending was already predicted and inevitable. Miho had such a devastating ending. She eventually became a mere device to catalyst Chang Ho's decision to remain Big Mouse. The female characters were practically written only to serve as a plot device. There were several matters that were brought up only to be left unresolved.
The writers should've taken note from the writer of Cruel City on how to write a proper noir drama.
I'll remember the story only prior to the unsatisfying Big Mouse revelation. It was gratifying only until then.
Still my best noir kdrama. I could still harks back to mind how blown away I was as the story progresses and how devastated I felt during the finale that I ended up creating my own story lol I've been a fan of Kyung Ho since Time Between Dog and Wolf and fell in love with him even more here.
Let me rewatch this again and relive all the feelings lol
After learning that the writers here are the same ones in Vagabond I retracted my expectations. It's already ep14 and yet several things remain unsolved. Kdramas are usually like this they wrapped up everything in one fell swoop at the very last minute.
One hundred percent agree with you. People are making fun of us who still suspect PCH but he s shown us over and…
He's been doing grand things to distract us from believing that he's Big Mouse and currently he's succeeding since several viewers are biting it but I refuse to be fooled lol until the series ended I'll stick to my belief that PCH is Big Mouse lol
I agree it would be insane, but I think it's just bcs his part of the plan for the trial was that doctor han would…
According to what I have watched, what Changho desires is the opposite of what you said: he wants Dr. Han to be on the trial and admit that they killed Dr. Seo. What Changho needed is for the VIPs bail to be dismissed.
This "breaking the 4th wall" theory makes so much sense and makes the series more fun. Imagine a fictional character dares to fool us viewers and actually really calls us stupid fools? It's like he's saying: you actually believed me? I'm a genius conman. Damn. Only Park Changho.
Why does everyone seem to assume that Big Mouse is the villain? I don't think he is. Jihoon and possibly 'The Elder' are the biggest villains here. The story is going for the evil vs evil plot. Jerry as Big Mouse is too predictable. The father-in-law as BM is too shallow. PCH as BM is the only highly likely possibility. For now I don't bite the split personality idea. I believe everything is premeditated by Big Mouse and he's after another big syndicate and possibly all these plans has got something to do with the illegalities happening in the hospital.
BRILLIANT! From the onset down to the conclusion has swept me away. The unfolding of the plot was so precisely done and the subtle but clear expression of romance between the leads is just perfect and so effective. Not an avid fan of Chinese dramas but this one and Go Ahead had me head over heels in love!
