Title Go Ahead
My first c-drama after several years and now it's part of my all-time favourite drama. I loved it to bits! This is just so good in ways more than one. It was so well done, inspiring, touching, heart breaking but funny and swoon worthy. Not overly comedic nor dramatic and no unnecessary break ups. It's realistic in so many ways. I love the two dads, especially Dad Li. The bond between Ling Xiao, JianJian and Ziqiu is so wonderfuland enviable. The romance part never bothered me at all neither did I felt the love triangle. The sisterhood and brotherhood are so endearing. Wei Long wow son you damn handsome and Seven Tan is just so charming and gorgeous and their chemistry is off the chart couldn't believe they are actually 8years apart. The acting is just brilliant and so natural. This is a perfect family drama for me. So much worth it!

From Episode5 onwards I'm already preparing my heart for the worst ending I might ever watch.

The f4 tale will never get old it's been over two decades and yet the story still feels new. I think this remake will be my third favourite after MG Taiwan and of course, Hanada will always remain on top. Looking forward to the unfolding of this story and to how Thyme will change himself for the better and the rest of the f4 lads... I love Gorya's face by the way. Gorgeous!

This is what I was looking for!!! Perfect plot! Just how satisfying it is to see scumbags gets beaten up to pulp!!! Putting them behind bars is no longer enough they had to feel the pain, too, since they are inhuman in the very first place. Ugh! Su Yeol's other personality is so satisfying! Please keep this going!

honestly, I was frustrated all throughout the series although there were good and sweet moments but the annoying portion dominates most of the time. It's sad that they take marriage and divorce too lightly it's expected though since they married after three months of dating? Their relationship has no foundation. Don't signed up in a marriage just to be happy, marriage is not all about emotions; it's a lifetime commitment with constant sacrifices. Moreover, why does career have to be always a big issue in marriage? I don't know probably it's just me since I value marriage values a lot. Anyway, I love watching Keiko in a series again. She's as beautiful as she was before. I'll give this 7/10 since they get back together in the end.

I think ppl are overlooking a lot of it's shortcomings because of the production quality and the talented actors…
Yes, the fans here are overly biased. It was just well produced visually but story and games wise — weak. It wasn't even a smart game. It's a children's games with a "killing each other" twist. The execution of the games are like gang war type it has no class lol and yes the reason behind the conception of the game is overdone. It's just all about the cinematography and the actors.

I thought this is a mind game lmao turns out it was just a game of killing each other to live for the price money. The only game that they used a strategy to win was during the tug of war and that's all thanks to someone who turns out to be — nevermind. From the get-go you can tell who was the game master and the missing brother. This is mind blowing for a first time (correct me if I'm wrong) korean death game series but since I've already watched numerous death game movies and series, I could deduced it as weak. The last game, did they even play the game? They just plainly did a typical physical fight there. The settings and visuals saved the weakness of the games and the overall story. The story is fine but to label it as a masterpiece is a bit reaching and very biased. I rest my case.

Kdramas aimed for perfection especially visually. Their aesthetic cinematography makes up a lot for the lacked of solidness in their plots and the lacked of clarity of the lessons in their stories (there are numerous well told kdramas) concerning jdramas, their stories relies more in their plot and the message of the story than the visual aspect which I commend a lot. I've been into jdramas and kdramas since early 2000 but I've watched more kdramas than doramas for nearly two decades therefore lately, kdramas have become unbearable to watch for me. I can hardly finish a whole 16 episode in a whole week while I can finished one jdrama series in one sitting. I love the aestheticness of kdramas but I adore how jdramas can summarize a whole series into 10ep while delivering satisfaction. I'm still trying to watch kdramas but I can barely finish one episode so right now I'm leaning more to jdramas. Overall, both are good in their own various way of story telling but it's jdramas for now lmao. Anyway, thank you for this article!

You're right with the statement "ragged yet charmingly gorgeous". When I was looking for their pictures to be…
Yes they tend to always grow their locks and just leave it as it is lol but somehow that's their charm and surprisingly they appeal more manly with that style lol

yeah apparently majority of users don't find that to be a problem. it blows my mind how many are willing to romanticize…
It is. Others just try to create depth out of it in their defence to the story but really it has nothing to offer aside from the sexual desire and the sexual tension between Nabi and JE which what others enjoyed mostly.

The views in love is seem to me becoming shallow here trying to defend what was wrong in this series. In my over 30 years of existence I only have one unchanging word for love and that is assurance. Real love gives you assurance. The person who truly loves you gives you a sense of assurance and that's where this story and the main characters have fallen short of miserably if I may add (aside from character depth and development). Therefore, there's no love in this story and there's no relationship in this story from the onset. Relationship involves responsibility and commitment and this story showcased none of it. It was all about sexual desire, fleeting passion and obsession. Do not mistake it for love that is an insult to love itself.
They are young but they had enough share of experiences to learn at least a tad to do what is right especially Nabi. Ghaaad. Nabi. Mistakes are made for you to learn to be wiser not to repeat the same mistake darling. She was exasperating throughout the series. Being young doesn't give you a free pass honey to make mistakes over and over again particularly when what is wrong is already waving right before your very eyes. I understand those who loved and enjoy the story specially the ending since it's Song Kang and you enjoyed the skinships and sexual tension between the leads. Good thing I'm not a fan of any of these actors but they're good. I watched this since it pretty reminds me of my former encounter of a guy alike Jae Eon. Alright mate, this Auntie is now done with her rant.

Exactly. ML lacked depth and eventually he never had the chance to explain himself on why he's what he is which is what's irking me lmao. What was his character's purpose? Merely for the romance part? Nabi has taken a step forward but then decided to take two-steps backward right after lmao. The story itself lacked depth, it was more on flirting and sexual desire. There's nothing to learn or reflect on in a positive side. It only raises concerns and disappointments (well at least not for the shippers).

All of this men are part of my favorite Japanese actors especially Shun and Takeru. I love their visuals, too, ragged yet charmingly gorgeous. J-dramas are in their league of their own when it comes to story telling which I love so much. Thank you for this detailed article.

And so it ended with Nabi staying as thick as a plank and chose the kind of happiness that will ruin her in the course of time. For someone who was once in her shoes, disappointment is sure an understatement. But oh well, kdrama is best at romanticising toxic men and toxic relationships. I'm not surprised anymore.
