It is very unfortunate of me knowing LSY only from Kairos. I wish I had watched her long time ago. Such a great…
There have always been certain idols who have gotten credit for being solid actors or at least having a certain amount of on screen chemistry. The gal from Coffee Prince comes to mind. But there are also Idols who took years before getting there and IU comes to mind. My Mister is when she finally seems to have crossed the Rubicon as far as her acting goes but she was criticized plenty before that.
50shades of grey sold millions of copy for a reason 😂😂...Jokes aside... It's 300-400yrs ago and in that…
I have seen that stuff played for romance in k-dramas plenty, but I actually didn't think the production was going for that here. Will have to see the next episode to see how it plays out though I suspect it was end of the episode dramatics.
My goodness, there are a lot of flashbacks. It's like every episode so far, they take flashbacks--the same ones,…
The overuse of flashbacks is a sign that the production is having issues. This is more a director/editing issue because, you are right, there are way too many and it doesn't make sense.
The whole reason for noona romances is because the production can't afford both high level salaries very often…
Oh, I think it is ridiculous - don't get me wrong. However there is no reason to have SHK in a drama with her current co-star in Now, We Are Broken Up other than the $ and he seems to be popular right now...it's a bit of a combo. He cannot emote in this type drama at all (he was fine in My Mister) and she is hit or miss herself. Dramas like CLOY with two big names are rarer these days I think perhaps you cannot guarantee the ratings which are more hit and miss these days. Jirasan (sp?) producers probably thought it was a sure thing but oh well.
I am enjoying Red Cuff Sleeve drama right now and have no idea the age difference of the leads; the story will always win in the end for me.
This is not gonna suddenly turn into an amazing drama or anything but the last 2 episodes it kind of got in the groove. The show seems to want to be a more modern version of the old school melo from back in the dark ages of 2012.
Do you think she has a clause in her contract "only interested in roles where I can mack on much younger men"?
The whole reason for noona romances is because the production can't afford both high level salaries very often and they're trying to cash in on whoever the it guy is.
This is random but when the gal "drowned" the water doodad that she had to keep filled like she wanted to hold the crown prince's head in the water, it was just hilarious and so unexpected. Really liking the vibe of this show.
Can someone tell me who is the person that actually reveals about crown prince reading banned text to king in…
Yes, I think the one you are mentioning is the daughter because the crown prince calls her aunt in a later episode. The other one is married to the king and is listed on the cast list up above as the queen.
I have just watched 2 episodes and not yet dropping this, but anyone else had an issue with Jo In Sung's acting?…
I don't remember having any issues with JIS acting in this but maybe he settles after the first episodes. He brings forth the intensity that is needed later in the drama including sexual chemistry with SHK, who is quite good in this.
I don't understand how even ten years ago you could date someone and fall in love and have no way of contacting…
I assumed she thought she was dumped and because it actually was such a short relationship , went on with her life. One of the problems of the drama is she moped for 10 years and that is what doesn't make sense to me. People get over stuff.
There are definite issues with the writing but nothing that isn't somewhat common in k-dramaland (tropes/coincidence etc), rather the main male lead is a bit obsessed with this gal but she is not with him thus far. So he needs to bring the urgency and smoulder and it is just not there. The dude isn't the best actor but that actually hasn't bothered me in his other dramas, but this genre I think is unforgiving because there isn't much comedic relief with the leads to fall back on. He wants her and he wants her bad but the eyes are so blank. I'm still sticking it out for another week to see how it goes but interested more about the fashion stuff.
The cold female character tag is intriguing me but I don’t like jang kiyoung’s acting, is this worth watching…
I think her character is a bit like the Encounter character but I thought SHK was charming and more down-to-earth in DOTS which had a fair amount of humor mixed in with the drama.
I'm sceptical about JKY's acting ability to pull off a complex/serious character. Even though i wouldn't say his…
I have found him most compelling in My Mister where he wasn't the lead. He is a little bland in the romances, but I actually like him so far in this one. I haven't watched the Come and Hug Me drama....he might do great in the melos. Crossing fingers because the dude is everywhere these days.
I get boundaries are being pushed, but half way through (ep 10) I need some growth to the story already. It's…
Yeah, I've kind of stalled on episode 10. I can't fathom them not coming up with a plan to get the heck out of dodge when marriage comes into play and they seem to be winging it.
Solid first episode with story, acting and directing. I keep starting dramas that start losing steam around episode 10 so hopefully this one doesn't go that way.
One of my favorite rom/coms. Stayed true to the comedic aspect of the story even when things got dramatic and didn't fall into some of the regular tropes. Well directed, acted and written. A rare gem in k-dramaland.
