Article Korean Dramas, Japanese Dramas, Globalised - Who Does It Best?
I don't limit myself; I'm in it for a good story regardless of where it comes from. I do think at times the J-dramas do procedurals and slice of life very well. They also don't put in as much filler with often 9 to 11 episodes. Occasionally I actually wish they had one more episode. K-dramas have a depth and I tend to prefer their romances which unfortunately come with episodes of filler. And when it comes to filler, no one beats the C-dramas for being way too long. The biggest issue is Japan doesn't push their dramas in terms of licensing internationally and I don't go to sketchy sites.
