I don't limit myself; I'm in it for a good story regardless of where it comes from. I do think at times the J-dramas do procedurals and slice of life very well. They also don't put in as much filler with often 9 to 11 episodes. Occasionally I actually wish they had one more episode. K-dramas have a depth and I tend to prefer their romances which unfortunately come with episodes of filler. And when it comes to filler, no one beats the C-dramas for being way too long. The biggest issue is Japan doesn't push their dramas in terms of licensing internationally and I don't go to sketchy sites.

The paladin is what the girl got into to avoid the dude chasing her. It is what he was being carried in.

Mr. Queen got hit with a scandal after its run so, no, it wasn't gonna get as much hype for award season. Pretty…
Mr. Queen is based/inspired on a C-drama. There was a spasm of anti-Chinese feeling because of geopolitical tensions at the time. One K-drama starting production had to totally shut down with the actors apologizing around this time as well. I think SHS caught some flack but this drama was very popular so I think she's fine.

I wish I'd dropped Night Watchman.

This actually looks really good, but I can't watch bullying. I mean even milder stuff in other dramas I have to skip through so I think I'm gonna pass.

What a weird mix of historical fantasy Xanxia like full of CGI first epidode. I don't really know what to think…
Night Watchman w/Jung Il Woo comes to mind. I remember the CGI was considered a big deal back then because usually the live shoot system makes using CGI too time consuming.

First episode did a good job setting up the story and introducing all the characters. I think it wise to put this in one episode so the adult actors can now come in and do their thing.

Kairos was very good.

Most cohesively written and well paced drama of 2021. I like office dramas and this one is up there with Misaeng. I know these type shows don't get a lot of international buzz because of the lack of romance but people are missing out.

Okay, the way to watch this show is after 11 episodes, just skip to the final episodes. It worked for me! Seriously, this is a healing drama with a side of mystery because there is not enough plot in most healing dramas for 16 episodes. Also these type dramas don't usually kill it in the ratings so I think writers think if they add mystery etc, it will help. I wish they would skip the mystery and do 9 or 10 episodes in the genre the writers wish. The lead couple was fine. I did like to finally see Nam Gyu Ri in a different type role than I've normally seen from her. She looked like she was having fun with it.

I'm frustrated by Han Se Kwon rolling in and arbitrarily expanding or contracting the design scope. Would that…
Yeah, I think this is some iffy writing to heighten the dramatic impact. I get his job being saved by nepotism, but I don't think he would ever have been sent back. Actually, I don't see why the guy isn't leading a marketing dept. He is really good at selling things and that's a skill set in much demand.

My memory is she was given the list or marching orders from on high so, one way or another, that is really outside her control. But, yeah, I hope HR doesn't really work this way with the "take the offer or else". A mass purging of employees like this in my neck of the woods usually involves nice offers that get grabbed by people already considering retirement. I get it is just a drama but I am curious if that is based in reality.

This drama is the kind that goes under the radar because it is not a romance. I hope people give it a chance because it's such a solid show. Characters aren't black/white but more nuanced than often seen in k-drama.

Lol we have gone full circle. Miss Dang is now in almost the exact position Choi found himself in at the beginning.…
I'm middle of the road. She is self aware to know that she can be on the cutting block since she managed to save herself once before. A lot on this show is for fun. I mean would they really get rid of the guy who came up with the whole concept of saving the washing machines? It makes no sense but it sure does make for a fun drama.

I believe this could've been a lot better without the murder-mystery plot. The story has a strong emotional core,…
This is kind of a healing drama which don't tend to rate high so they always add some kind of mystery/drama/turmoil which I've always felt was unnecessary to the main story. Would be better off sticking to the main story and only having 12 episodes.
