This is one of my FAVORITE verticals since it came out! The FL constantly changes her personality at the worst times to become truly hilarious things.... like acting like a monkey at one time. It you want a truly smart FL thought THIS is NOT the one for you as she's pretty much dumb as bricks but the Emperor falls in love with her anyway 😅. There's a line where they visit her family and someone plots to harm him and her father pleads that it had nothing to do with their family because "The second rule of their family precepts is to be loyal to the Emperor and love the country". To which the FL replies "Dad, the first rule wouldn't be 'Mom is always right" would it?" 😅 - And the Emperor is just rolling his eyes thinking "Of course I know it has nothing to do with you. This family's brains combined couldn't come up with a way to harm anyone." 🤡🤣 10/10

50% of the cgi for this hype is hilarious, 25% is okay, 25 is GOOD (You'll know EXACTLY where they spent their money 🤣) Other than that, like any show you'll like it or you won't but this one is absolutely more romance heavy that almost ANY show you've seen in a while

Basically if the FL tries to change the plot and fight against her fate the system controlling the book world steps in to override everything and "punish" the FL. Because she wasn't on the correct path to becoming a villian the system stepped in and had her body taken over by the love-brained idiot of episode 1 so that the plot could eventually start and she'd be semi-alienated from her family and allow the book FL to enter, shine, and take over, making our FL the antagonist when she fights back against the pure white lotus.

ML way of proving his "love" is to promote another Concubine to co-Empress and lock FL up in her palace telling her he will FORCE her to give birth to a baby so he can give the baby to the other woman. Meanwhile he has never "actually" touched the other woman because "of course not, this is a 'REAL' romance". So when FL actually GETS pregnant he is happy 'they' will be having a baby and deposes the other woman because he only did and said everything with her to "piss the FL off" 🙄. That's the line... 'I only did this to piss you off". Meanwhile FL wants to be the REAL Empress in control of government so she stages a coup TWICE in the drama (or maybe it could be 3 times because 1 of those times she was forced to help the Prince Regent and then she came and stole HIS URSURPTION from him same day he's trying to take the throne 😅. And SOMEHOW.... despite ALL this, (including multiple assumed assaults to create the baby), AND the scene before the last one showing her shooting him with an arrow off screen and it being announced he's dead (again)... it's a HAPPY ENDING because he apparently comes back as a boy toy for her giving up the idea of being on the throne because he loves HER more... 🤡🥲

Every time it comes to an emotional scene where he's trying to hold back I swear I can feel him clenching every muscle in his body and biting his cheek trying NOT to break down in front of her. Okay so I have sat down and binged all 12 episodes and what people should know who see the lower comments is: •The first 6 episodes are ALL set-up. • The synopsis WILL BE correct from what I can tell • You will get the MOST enjoyment out of this mini-drama if you regularly watch vertical dramas and are at least "semi" familiar with their tropes. •.....For instance the 1st 6 episodes are basically a micro "hidden boss revenge" plot. If you know what that means you know what to "semi" expect. •....Episode 7 onwards begins to mix tropes but follows tropes of "overbearing CEO" and "adopted usurper savior as "FL" " •The "SHOW" FL is very opinionated and in no way a pushover. She won't back down and take what's happening without fighting and looks for alternative ways to solve plot progressions. • So far, there are NO plot holes that I've noticed, not even the transmigration girl. (Some things aren't explained but they are left to your imagination how A and B became C but I wouldn't call those instances "plot holes")
