Brief Story Synopsis: FL died and became a demon ghost locked to a temple. She befriended a woman who was stayed there but then left to go back home. Not long after the woman dies and uses her last breathes to create a blood curse to free the FL and give her body to her. She wakes in the coffin and begins her plan of revenge. Meanwhile, a General with ties to her past life is searching for the temple where she was once imprisoned.

This was an interesting vertical as something "different". The acting in the beginning was very good and creepy which makes the rest of the drama trend in a downward fashion. Scenes jump a bit and leave the viewer to try and figure out what's happening and why which is frustrating for a revenge drama. By the time you finish the story the plot is detailed enough that it could be figured out but personally I like to watch things understanding what I'm seeing AS I'm watching, not having to think about it at the end.

Should be a vertical drama like her one with Garvy Jin

This is a fantasy version of the Water-Carrying Maid story. Here, the difference is that the FL's status is unique in that that is the MLs ONLY Destiny Cauldron which seems to be different than the "normal" Tyler of Cauldron/Furnace that anyone can be when practicing Dual Cultivation. Story does not contain ML/FL in bed next to sleeping Wife. DOES contain a scene of Wife/Other Man next to drugged ML which is different for once. Is more romance oriented and has the "most" positive ending for this story to date. Biggest issue with the story is a unresolved plot thread with her pipa skills and the white haired elder. It seemed like something was hinted at but I didn't understand what they were trying to imply.

Oh yeah I finished it a while ago. I definitely inflated my rating with bias but I gave it 8.5 😅

I like how each version of this story are both the same AND different. This version is very similar to Advanced Manual For Water-Carrying Maidservants as it DOES include the scenes of intimacy between ML/FL in the same bed as sleeping wife. This version is a comedy so it will either work for you or the humor will miss you completely. I personally loved it. The biggest issue I found while watching was the lack of clarity in feelings for the FL. Through the entire show she is complaining about him and that he's fickle and she is JUST using him. The difference at the end makes this most jarring as she allows the ML to live happily with her.

Having watched both this and Advanced Manual For Water-Carrying Maidservants I found I liked this story "slightly" better overall. Here the story really focuses on the relationship between the FL and the ML as she works her way towards seducing him. She is still "viscious" but she's not quite as... "kinky" I guess would be the word. She denies his advances at first as he attempts to resist her manipulation rather than going straight for him. This allows the ML to be MUCH more sympathetic and not be portrayed "quite" like a nymphomaniac. Because they are portraying him in a more "positive" manner there is no main wife pregnancy or death due to neglect.
Because the source material this is a "revenge against him is complete" story rather than a "traditional" HEA.

😅 I mean it's also just from the very nature of it being a Republican one a 50/50 shot on a HEA/SE regardless of the character profile bring sick so I get you're wariness.

Not bad. I've watched it twice and while it's not "amazing" I found it enjoyable both times as both characters are shameless and have a very DGAF attitude towards everyone other than themselves. FL is a made a Concubine and during the course of the drama ML is made to marry another Concubine and a Main Consort.

So far I found it "watchable". It's your typical messy Republican drama where revenge is the name of the game but there "does" seem to be something underneath that's not shown so far in the 1st 8 episodes.

The show premise is this:
FLs uncle and his daughter, along with the police think they've killed her but she returns 5 years later as an overseas singer engaged to ML who's been "grooming" her for her revenge the past multiple years. She uses this identity to then pretend to be her ORIGINAL identity in order to punish people and regain control of ther family fortune.
ML meanwhile is pretending to be sick while ACTUALLY being sick, hamming up his fake sickness and hiding his REAL sickness 🙃. His older brother is in control of the FLs uncle and their faction.
Yan Zi Xian is both cute and smoldering so far.

Destiny finished filming in July of last year, this one (Fleeting Dream) in August, Yu Jun Du Zhang Huan in October, Jianghu One Knife in November, Hei Ye Zhong De Ta in January, (took a needed break and did charity work) then Soft Hearted wrapped beginning of May, Jin Yue Ling (support) wrapped in June, Nan Xiang Si started filming day after and wrapped in July so he's been busy, just not working himself to death 🥰

Well that depends on what you like... It's basically a horizontal vertical version of a palace drama. There are better strictly vertical ones (imo) but this one wasn't bad.

THIS was your first? I thought it was a lot of fun strictly because of the reverse harem and the down bad shadown-guard, but it's a bit... 😅 - It doesn't even have an ending

Idk how many historical verticals you've been watching vs modern but this tends to be "more" the case I've noticed so it's hit or miss if the romance is strong or the "plotting" is strong. 😅

1st case is through ep 5 - So far the show is not "amazing" but it weaves all the characters together into multiple storylines within that one case in an interesting way. The 1st case was VERY sad and delt with issues that would probably be triggering to more than one person in some aspect.

I'm not sure what your point was supposed to be here? I read back over my original comment and I didn't mention anything about whether the show had plot holes nor if it was a "reasonable and logical story". I stated it was a popcon/trash mini that does have an underlying plot they are trying to tell so if you look away or don't pay attention you may miss details. This is essentially to compare to shows where you could skip an entire episode and the only thing that woulf have happened is missing a threat, a throat grab or a half-naked bath scene. There is indeed very little real world logic behind the plot of this show but "personally" I did find that the character profiles of the 3 main characters were very good from a psychological stand point. Agree to disagree if you will that's your choice. And if you want to laugh about the stupidity of the MLs poison Ill laugh with you all day every day but I still liked the show from an emotional stand point.

🤣 This was such a weird show... I enjoyed it immensely but it was also very much a nonsensical vertical plot made in horizontal format.
