Is Fu yin stupid or STUPID?! Why would she put herself or her family through all that?? I can’t understand the…
You would think that given her docile personality she would not have the audacity or bravery to attempt what she is doing.
The trigger points were Death of mother - decides to infiltrate the Lu household Almost raped by the Lu cousin - decides to bed Lu Qi
It doesnt make any sense!!! Well except for one thing which comes to mind, a form of Stockholm syndrome, even then it is very weak logic given her personality, sure she felt guilty about arguing with her mother before her death, sure she could be trying to avenge her mother before her brother gets exposed but her actions is totally out of character. And yes she wasnt the brightest in the Fu family.
Is the crown prince straight and being friends with performer or he is bi or he is gay ?? I can't believe in historical…
Historically the crown prince is gay or had the fancy for men and monks which was found out by the emperor, given that homosexuality is taboo in China the drama heavily hints at this rather than outright show it, kind of like the drama The Untamed where the boy love theme was toned down but the director made it very not so subtle with the way they talk to each other, the way they look and reacted.
I was referring to your comments "Everything about this drama is most beautiful and all couples are too cute." and remarked about her sister, I know Fu Yin is her sister and not Fu Shui who happens to be played by the same actor who played Chen Ji. What is happening to Fu Yin as of episode 21 is pretty dark, since she broke up with Du Ning
The tone of this drama is getting darker and darker. Depraved men trying to bang maids. Maids selling themselves…
What drew me to this drama was the lightheartedness and comedy, havent seen much of these types of drama for a while. It started off well, establishing characters and now every single episodes is frustrating me. Prince Zhou keeps hitting on Fu Rou, less scene between Fu Rou and Chumu, Fu Yin sacrificing herself to avenge her mother. The Lu family being pardoned for crimes they committed yet other people are punished severely for not even doing 1/10 of what the Lu family did. ZiFang seems to be turning darker. Crown Princess is being stupid with every episode. And so on, I feel there are too many things going on with all the secondary and tertiary leads and not enough on the main. It does have a good ending, they marry but the journey is going to be very bad from what it looks like.
I don't know why, but I have the feeling that this show is going to have a tragic ending. I hope I'm wrong, but…
From the teasers it is a happy ending, Fu Rou and Sheng ChuMu gets married, but along the way there are tragedies, dont worry it isnt like Royal Nirvana, where the ML cries and gets punished at every single episode. The author of the novel is also the screenwriter, she wrote The General and I, so it will get darker then at the end will have a happy ending, if she didnt change her style of writing.
I just realised that the screenwriter is also the author of the novel, so it might drag out the way General and I dragged on, since she is also the author
Prince zhou is the type of guy who always get what he wants by using his power. Furou is being force to follows…
History seem to record the actual first son of the Emperor as having a preference towards men, even monks. He liked a young man and nicknamed him Chengxin (稱心 - satisfying my heart) The emperor was aware of this and started to become angry and disappointed in him.
Prince Zhou force feeds the FL with medicine using his mouth... in those days is pretty much very intimate, since it isnt consensual it is very much like rape, but the screen time between the prince and the FL is getting annoying.
The empress values her, and she knows that the the FL wants to leave the palace for good, but wants to keep her for her own selfish reason, as she explained to her, but the FL doesnt explain why she wants to leave in fact it would have been a great opportunity for the FL to confide in the empress about the ML and maybe just maybe the empress might support them since both of them have done great service to country but no, the screenwriters decides to drag on and on with the FL and Prince Zhou.
I was happy that Lingyi and Shiyi ended up together with no more concubines at the end. With that said, I felt…
You forgot concubine Wen was allowed to return or do anything she wishes, she chose to be near her son, Yuge, while she did not appear in the last 10 minutes of the final episode, she was the only concubine that was not separated or exiled, so in many ways she is still with the Xu family.
Why does the Wen Concubine gift burning storyline seem so lazy script writing wise. What did she want to accomplish?
Yes it was lazily written. During the visit of madam Wen at the farm where concubine Wen was staying, episode 38, someone threatened the Wen family to revealed that they forced someone to commit suicide or had something to do with their death, and it would lead to the fall of the Wen family. Concubine was trying to protect the Wen family and more importantly to protect her son's future and give him a strong financially backing. In the last episode it was actually concubine Qin who was behind the threat
That's a given since the screenwriter is Cheng Tingyu, if you click on their name and look at their other works you will find towards the ending is pretty much the same thing, rushed and every loose end is attempted to be resolved in the last 10 minutes. However to be fair the series was reduced from 50 episodes to 45 which may or may not have affected the whole series.
Depends on the type of dramas you like - Action/Adventure - Comedy - Crime/Detective - Boylove - Drama/Thriller/Horror/Tragedy…
