Well he did get the most precious thing in the world i.e Xiao Yao's heart. I think what triggered him to take this drastic step of getting killed is because he found out that Xiao Yao actually love him but doesn't know about it since Xiao Yao never takes decisions using her heart. He realised that the person that Xiao Yao keeps in her gorilla mirror (metaphor of her heart) is him. But he knew that he won't be able to give her the happiness that she deserves so he chose not to proclaim his feelings and die silently. This actually makes Xiang Liu one of the great ML in the novel.

No here Deng Wei is not the ML. He is actually the 2ML. Even Tong Hua said that in her book Jing is the 2ML. Zhuan Xu and Xiang Liu are the actual ML of the book, which makes Zhang Wanyi and Tan Jianci the ML of the drama. But a drama can't have two ML so they made Tan Jianci a special ML. So to sum up, in this drama FL ends up with the 2ML while both the ML looses her, hence making up the title 'Lost you Forever'
Xiao Yao, Jing, Xing Yue and Feng Long's dance is so beautiful... They looked so happy especially Xing Yue... I really hated how Xing Yue changes by the end of the book 😞😞😞

Again, here I found another fan who only thinks that Xiao Zhan is the hero and others are zero. Do you even know there is no such things called saving grace in a drama? This drama was not only focusing on Gu Wei but Lin Zhixiao too. And portraying such a beautiful and natural chemistry... I don't think Xiao Zhan couldn't have done it without Yang Zi. This also happens to be the only drama where I found Xiao Zhan having a chemistry with his co actress. Not to mention Yang Zi also has to form a deep bond with both her on screen parents, especially with the actor playing her father. If you love Xiao Zhan then just do it but simply making him and saving grace without any reason is pure toxicity and insult to others who has put a lot of efforts while doing their part.

If you don't like a drama than it's ok since everyone doesn't have the same taste, but simply telling that it is not good because of some silly reason is not good. This might creat a negetive impression regarding the drama on those viewers who might find it fit to their taste, so that they make a decision after reading both positive and negative comments.
