yes,I'm disappointed too, but that was me being positive. I read a melon🍉 that wavve didn't have a budget for another season of Weak Hero until Netflix obtained the rights.
The director said they toned down all the violence and gloominess in s2 to appeal to the global audience (s1 was not a Netflix original, they even deleted some scenes when they streamed it). They should at least follow the manhwa in the fight between Si Eun and Hyo man, like where's the bag and the slap? haha.
And Si Eun is the ever-resourceful fighter who is a badass in webtoon, being in the top 6, that's our white mamba-yes, they should include that part.
No Rowan Im, Teddy Jin or Gerard Jin, no Kingsley or even the delusional Jimmy Bae.
And Na Baek Jin was more drawn to Si Eun than Baku. (Baek Jin was not a childhood friend of Baku). Even the math contest of Baek Jin and Si Eun, they should at least retain that one. That shows the battle between those two is both brawls and brains. And even when he was dying, Baek Jin wondered and even imagined what his life would be if he met Si Eun a bit earlier.
While s1 gave us good storytelling, s2 seemed rushed, leaving some pivotal moments for Si Eun's character journey. Those characters in the webtoon that they excluded in the adaptation are all important.
But still we cannot expect that all adaptations will be portrayed 100% accurately from their source material. But as a manhwa reader, I can understand the disappointment of my fellow webtoon readers.
With that being said, this season is still a good watch, though it would be better, probably best best if they stayed faithful to the webtoon.
the reviews are so misleading thts why i always go to the comments to decide whether something is good or not
though s2 can be a stand-alone drama. S1 is definitely a must-watch. Or, if you already watched the first season, then you should give s2 a try. The reason this season is lower in ratings is that many manhwa/webtoon readers are disappointed at the adaptation. Season 1 is not a Netflix Original and many are praising it as it stays true to the source material. The director said that for this season, in order to appeal to the global audience, they toned down the gloominess and violence.
This season is junk compared to season 1. I would have beat the shit out of the effeminate looking Baek Ja In…
Well s1 is not Netflix Originals so if you are quiet upset with this season's storytelling that's understandable. The director said they toned down the gloominess and violence to appeal to the global fans, but I guess we get how violent they can be on the first season so we already expected a more intense fight and that didn't go well.
Park Jihoon, Choi Hyunwook & the director basically confirming that Suho-Sieun are in love- I'M NOT CRYING YOU…
I think they're teasing the fans. Hyunwook jokingly calls it a high school romance and Si Eun says Suho is like Si Eun's first love and the director also joins in on the fun😆
IT'S CONFIRMED SUHO AND SIEUN WERE IN LOVE (was very obvious but) MY GODDD??!?

Unfortunately, this drama deprived us of seeing Eunjang's White Mamba which was Si eun's nickname in the webtoon....…
Agree. Also, they cut down almost half of the characters from the webtoon. If they gave us a few fights, then they should at least show the proper showdown between Si Eun and Hyo Man.
s1 was not a Netflix Original, so that should explain the weak storytelling in this season. While it's good, it would be better if not the best had they stayed true to its source material.
Ahh I really wish they kept true to rhe webtoon, especially the villains, why are they so damn nerfedNa baekjin…
Yes, Na Baek Jin is the strongest character in Weak Hero, followed by Ben Park in second rank.

Overrated.Every time the main character gets into a fight, they’re always looking for something sharp to stab…
well they don't fight for entertainment, nor are they pro fighters. They fight for survival, especially Si Eun. You can see, since s1, he was not athletic and didn't know how to fight. He was bullied, so he thought that the only way for him to fight against his bullies was to use his brain-to calculate how to utilize whatever is in his surroundings to his advantage. This strategy works well for him though, because people think he's a lunatic and avoid him. Another thing, they're just a bunch of high schoolers, they're still young, and some people fight filthy.
Though I read the manhwa and enjoyed season 2, which I believe could be a stand-alone series(so no need to compare it to its prequel), the reason I was anticipating this season is that I just wanted an update on Suho's condition😅. And because of Beom Seok I have my doubts on Jun Tae both manhwa and live adaptation, ahaha mianhaeyo Jun Tae😆
I mean how many would have someone like gwansik as a father? This is why everyone is talking about this in sk.…
he also worked himself to the bones since young, never took a break and, eventually, all his hard labor took its toll on him. Like Gwan Sik, he died young, also 56. He left before he could enjoy the comfort we can provide for him now.
For the toned down, it was said that they wanted to focus on I don't know emotional something or what, so they had fewer fights/brutality.
And yes, Si Eun was made weak here, where in the webtoon he had many awesome fights that made him in the top 6, just one rank below Seong Je.
They even gave Baku an arc or a story, something even Suho didn't have in the first season.
And, yes, the aliases are all cool. They didn't use that, maybe because their focus was not on the fights but the emotional aspect.
And Si Eun is the ever-resourceful fighter who is a badass in webtoon, being in the top 6, that's our white mamba-yes, they should include that part.
