I'm glad Lee Jae Wook reconsidered and finally accepted the role. He was born for costume dramas.

And Kim Jae Wook, as I said before, really embodies all the antagonist characters he played.

but it's a 10/10 for me. It has a dark and vague tone so a happy ending(where the couple lives happily together forever) is unlikely to happen. I kinda expected it since the first episode and confirmed it on the episode where they said all the children abducted by the snowman were bathed/soak in water full of chemicals.

Watch it though.

I always like Kim Jae Wook when he plays the antagonist.

each to their own. In my opinion, their chemistry is 5/5. Jo Bo Ah has good chemistry with all her ML.

yes I understand you. What I mean is one of the reason it got a license is because of the drama becoming a hit. They got many endorsements a d collaborations requests. They changed the title for part 2 to circumvent the 12 months interval per season.

yes, this drama is a hit, they even change the title for s2 to find a way around the new regulation. Hope to see it this summer.

They all just follow the novel. I preferred the first adaptation (Taiwanese) more, then Thai, and Japanese, then this. Though I already know the ending (and I detest sad endings) like the fool I am, I still watched this, and now I'm heartbroken.

no, but PBG was nominated in the Best Actor category at the Baeksang Arts Awards. If Park Hae Joon had also been nominated, then the 2 would have vied for the same award.

I'm on my (I believe) 4th rewatch and this time I edited my rating 1 pt higher than the first.
When watching a drama, you have to really expect the unexpected, most especially for fantasy genre😅

I'm just an avid watcher, so I give k: story/plot-ok, setting-ok, costumes-ok, characters-ok, actors-ok. It piqued my curiosity and got me hooked til the end.

My one (of 2) complaint is that why did they allow them to reunite just to be killed off, separating them permanently? And, 2nd I don't really like the way ML humiliated the FL at her wedding with the general. He just broadcast to the public that the bride had already slept with him, shaming her.
Aside from those 2 reasons, I can say it's a nice watch. I'm fine with 58 episodes.

during its run, it was consistent on the list of top-buzzworthy dramas. Check first if you like this genre period of age. And also, this focuses on traditional music/Pansori and Gukgeuk.
WLGYT is highly rated due to its plot and story. That's why it won Best Drama at the Baeksang Awards. But here Kim Tae Ri portrayed a wide range of acting, a truly spectacular one.

it's still #1 (9.4) followed by Twinkling Watermelon at 2nd spot with 9.2 rating.

I read a melon that they'll air this summer of 2025, just waiting for approval from Chinese censors.

But if we follow the new regulation that multi-season dramas are to air one year apart, then we'll get to see it next year, just like Lost You Forever.

He won the Best Supporting Actor for his role of Bu Sang Gil in this drama, while Jung Sung Il his co-actor in Uprising won the Best New Actor Award.

I am an IU fan too, but Kim Tae Ri also deserved the nomination for her magnificent performance in Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born. She won with just a slight difference from IU.

Lee Ji Eun will soon have her own Best Actress trophy at Baeksang, or maybe she'll bag the Grand Prize (Daesang) by then. Her time will come.

In the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards IU(My Mister) and Kim Tae Ri(Mr. Sunshine) were both nominated in the Best Actress category and actress Yum Jung Ah(Sky Castle) brought home the award.
