It's weird for Jaeyi, I guess. The fake bro is confident though, because he knew the truth and was like teasing or taking naughty revenge on Jaeyi for doubting and making it hard for him. As for Jaeyi, she really didn't believe him but was forced to accept him the moment he gave her the sachet.
And as for us viewers, I'm glad it was revealed to us early that he's fake, so there's no disgusting thought of it being an incest thing. I just feel bad for Jaeyi, like she was confused and guilty that she was doing something not right. She was pranked😅

Right? They had many complaints about the subpar subtitling, yet they never put in an effort. Well, as long as they rake money.

Yes. In the episode where they're bickering with each other, I already imagine the 2 of them in the finale having completed the canal project and still being petty with each other. I was shocked by the death of Zheng Zi. His death wasn't even shown it was just mentioned, but it had a huge impact on me.
Their bravery and loyalty to their people was admirable.

I've been occupied with kdramas and rewatch lately, so for chinese costume dramas this year I've only finished Everlasting Longing, Kill My Sins, Flourished Peony and TPOB and I like them all. I'll check out Legend of Zang Hai as it's already completed.

So sad with all the deaths of Yang Feng, Zheng Zhi, Da Qiao and Wei Liang.

True to its genre, it was a mystery indeed.From the moment Go Hye Ran claimed that she didn't kill Kevin Lee the guessing game about the killer began, but halfway through the subtle clues that the show laid for the viewers, I think many guessed correctly that the husband, Kang Tae Wook was the killer.

The show is a gripping one. I found myself wanting to finish the entire 16 episodes in one sitting.(though it's impossible, right?)

How the show put it together with the past of Go Hye Ran (the murder in her teenage years, and her relationship with Kevin Lee), the supposed affair, the murder case, her job, her rocky marriage and politics was brilliant, so there are no irrelevant scenes.

At first, I did not like how cold she was, but I ended up rooting for her as I got to know where she was coming from.

So did you get to finish the drama?

I hope Netflix fixes their subtitle issue, especially for period dramas. The words or meaning get lost because they cannot be conveyed by the poor subtitle.

Watching it now, and I'm so glad that this show was able to be released. I can't imagine how they ever thought about shelving this wonderful drama.

Next is Liu Yu Ning's drama with Li Yitong. Hope to see it this year too.

Sometimes we need dramas like this, not complicated, simple and cute. This is a breather after watching psychological thrillers one after another.

At the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, it won the Best Drama and Best Screenplay awards and Choi Dae Hoon(Bu Sang Gil) won Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress for Yeom Hye Ran (Ae Sun's mother).

IU and Park Bogum were nominated for Best Actress and Best Actor awards. The director was nominated for Best Director and the actress who played young Ae Sun was also nominated for the Best New Actress award.

On rewatch and like I said in s1 and Dear Hongrang, Lee Jae Wook was born for costume drama.

And again, people mad about the actress change clearly didn't understand the plot at all.
There's a big difference when you watch the drama because of the story and when you just watch it because you are a fan of the actor

Actually, it's the opposite. If you like the drama as you claimed, then you should understand that even in s1, Naksu played by GYJ, was introduced, she just soul shifted to the body of Mudeok, played by JSM and as the story unfolds, GYJ face as Naksu will eventually take over. It was explained in s2 why Naksu's original appearance took over Mudeok/Jin Bu Yeon.

You will understand that, that is, if you are drama-oriented and not focused on the actors.

you need to understand the plot to know that even in the intro of S1, Naksu was introduced as GYJ who soul shifted herself in the body of Mudeok (played by Jung So Min), so we cannot neglect the fact that JSM will play 2 characters as Naksu and Mudeok(because Mudeok also has her own identity). While the story unfolds, I already expected that GYJ face would take over as she is the real Naksu.

On rewatch and still, Park Jin is my most unlikeable character.

The real Hongrang and Jaeyi are half-siblings. They have the same father but different mothers. That's why Lady Min hated Jaeyi. The character of LJW is an impostor, they are not blood-related. Even the 2nd ML is also not blood related to Jaeyi as he was adopted by the father to succeed him.
