I watched it because of Lee Jun Young, knowing I might get disappointed because he's the villain. I was indeed disappointed, not because of his role, but because of the plot. I only stayed because of Hee Joo.
there is little to no romance. The director said there was no romance there. But the leads have chemistry, you would wish they would end up together, but they never push it.
I've been a fan since Avengers Social Club. More projects for him. And he's always consistent in posting on IG, keep it up. I love those dance vids too.
Put it on my plan watchlist first. I'll wait for it to finish. Jdrama sure knows how to drag. I'm still stuck with fufu no himitsu, which also started this January.
Oops. What happens at the end ? I wanted to watch this but not if the ending is sad :(
SML and FL end up together, and ML becomes the king who sits alone on his throne. But still it's a nice watch, we don't know maybe you'll like the chemistry between FL and SML. Give it a try.
I couldn't believe it. Such random guest spots but they were a pleasant surprise!
yes, I also made the same comment below, that maybe it's because of censorship issues. But the way they execute it, like the dream stuff, was a big letdown. They made a fool of the FL. She thought she was given a second chance, a chance to redeemed not only herself but also her family, only to be hurt by the reality, that it was just her wishful thinking. They could've done it better, like SOKP, Love Better Than Immortality or Romance on the Farm. Imagine taking us on a journey where we understand the FL situation, her remorse and regret and making us root for her too, only to find out in the end that it was just a dream. Tsk.tsk.
The ending is not sad for this drama. It’s realistic enough. The novel one is more unrealistic.
yes, I do agree. What's the point of a second chance if it's all just a dream? They made the FL a laughingstock. She thought she redeemed herself only to be hurt by reality, again.
I haven't read the novel, so I just thought that they added the 'dream' stuff for censorship issue.
I was relieved by the fact that no one died, and they were just in the game. But that ending when she sees Jung Won, meaning they're still in the game and, the way Jung Won is sitting in the back far away from Yoon Seo looking indifferent, implies that she was reformatted. This time she's not an ally.
I watched this every night on TV without skipping an episode as the internet was not a thing back then, and if you missed it there are no re-runs. And even now, I still re-watch this.
Through the whole thing, I was waiting for there to be a plot twist where Xie Wei ALSO reincarnated self-aware…
In the novel there are two reincarnated individuals, Jiang Xue Ning and Zhang Zhe, but in the drama they didn't do it (probably because of the rebirth/reincarnation censorship). That's why they added that scene in the modern era where it was all a novel.
another makjang haha.
What's there not to like? It's nice, with a hint of mystery, cute, cringe sometimes and it's fantasy🤩. I'm watching many heavy dramas these days, so watching this in between is such a breather.

What an ending tsk.
My dearest will be on top of all my favorites for a long time.
And even now, I still re-watch this.
