Some people didnt like his acting ?Whooey!! I think he's a new talent on the horizon .. barely 3 years in and…
yes, while many praised his portrayal of Xie Wei some are being negative and say that his portrayal of the character is 'too scary', so he doubted himself and also questioned if he really understood the character. He even apologized.

Yes, I agree that they made his character realistic. He's learning, and his acting has improved. I like those microexpressions and nuances he is able to give now to the character he portrays. With MJTY, Bright Eyes in the Dark, Tiger and Crane and the just finished filming of Si Hai Zhong Min I can say 2023 is his year. Looking forward to his dramas. And as always, Bai Lu is ❤️

I love this drama to bits, and I don't know why😅.It's not perfect; in fact, it has not many but some flaws, yet somehow it appeals to me more strongly than any in the same genre of this year's costume C-dramas. It's not the actors visuals that captivate me; maybe it's the story, maybe it's the cinematography, maybe it's how they somehow knew each other's schemes but not their feelings; or maybe it's the curiosity of how their hate-to-love story unfolds. But whatever it is, this drama managed to draw me in.

I hope Zhang Ling He won't take to heart those negative feedback and instead take it as an inspiration to be a better actor. As for me, since Maiden Holmes, he keeps on improving.

@Dorama, I couldn't find the Hong Kong version. I am afraid "Life After Death" is about something else. not related…
Life After Death 2020. Dr Koo is a character inspired by Dr. Park Si-on.
Though HK version is more of makjang ahaha. It's more on their love story.

Maybe I'll edit it out?

Since Maiden Holmes Zhang Ling He never disappoints🤩. He keeps improving.

I hope he won't take to heart the negative feedback he got on his portrayal of Xie Wei and keep on accepting challenging roles.

Title Daily Dose of Sunshine Spoiler
I got fooled by the title. I took a break from the angsty drama Story of Kunning Palace, so while looking for something in my Plan to Watch folder to clear my head of all the angst, I saw Daily Dose of Sunshine and thought that it was lighthearted. I took the title literally, thinking PBY is literally a walking Sunshine to her patients, and dang! I was fooled! haha. Episode 1, and I find myself crying. It was 12 episodes (I'm glad that it's just 12eps) I cried in each episode.

I could relate so much to the Kim Sung Sik case when I watched that episode. I took a step back and asked, What did I just get myself into? I watch this drama to take a break from an angsty one, but lo, it's a heavy one. I disassociated myself from the cases, as I might 'drown' into them, and focused on the story, especially on the psych team and how they deal with their work and their life outside work.

Kim Seowan: When I watched his final scene, I was reminded of Looney from Prison Playbook. He tried really hard, but he was beaten by his mental illness. So is Looney; he tried so hard and did his best to stop and stay away from drugs, but he really couldn't run from it.They had no control over their situation, which is why they end up like that.

Though, IMO, the writer should not let Jung Da-eun get ill too, I want her at least to be their sunshine, like walking sunshine. But I guess the writer wants to convey that there is a thin line between mental healthcare and mental illness, that anyone can have it, and no one is immune to it.

As someone who has suffered from mental illness, this drama hits home. More dramas like this are an eye-opener for people who think lightly of mental illness and think that it is just in the mind.

I guess I have to rewatch Meet Yourself or Hometown Cha Cha Cha as my healing drama before continuing the Story of Kunning Palace, haha.

Another must-see drama for 2023.

ALP is the prequel. It tells the story of ShangGu and Bai Jue while The Last Immortal focuses on their son, Yuan…
I got confused about the names being changed at first too, haha, because that's not the case in the novel. But it is said that TLI is from a different drama prod. and they didn't have a right to use the names from ALP as it was bought by the ALP prod.

Anyways, happy watching🤩

Yall…I missed it. Help me out. How is this connected to ALP and why are people salty about the cast?I haven’t…
ALP is the prequel. It tells the story of ShangGu and Bai Jue while The Last Immortal focuses on their son, Yuan Qi and the phoenix Feng Yin. If you watch ALP you'll notice that they changed the characters' name from ALP in TLI. It is probably due to copyright issue. And if you haven't seen ALP, it's OK as TLI is not that heavily tied to its prequel, and you can follow along the story. I watched ALP, and it's good, you know it's your typical xianxia drama full of angst.Haha. I am watching TLI now and it's also interesting. So far it's good. I don't know why some are pissed about the cast, I think they're fine.

yes, FL is really arrogant because she is spoiled by the other true gods and her friend goddess YueMi and because, way before she was born ,it was declared by the ancestral god that she will be the Chief Goddess, the highest among the true gods. She's got it easy even in her trial(not gonna spoil you)
She has her character development when she realized the weight of her title. Just bear with it for a few episode. ALP is good. Just like any typical xianxia drama full of angst. Ahaha
Enjoy watching.

It's tolerable til it isn't anymore. It's just a 20-minute drama with 16 episodes, but I wasn't able to finish it in one sitting. I got distracted most of the time. I managed to watch another 5 episodes of Fantastic Doctors because I lost interest, then came back for the sake of finishing.

From ep.1 to the last, they are time traveling, which made me lose interest. It's cute till episode 14 I realized there are only 2 episodes left, yet they are still on the murder mystery.

I actually rooted for Yoo Jin. Her brother and stepmother, even her husband are out to get her, like hyenas.

I can't seem to connect with Anna, and I feel there's more chemistry between Je Ha and Yoo Jin than with the FL.

Wow! And now we have the Chinese adaptation, 'Fantastic Doctors!' All this from the original Kdrama 'Good Doctor'. Soon, Italy, India and Thailand will also make adaptations.

I just finished Daily Dose of Sunshine, and I'm watching Fantastic Doctors, currently on episode 2, and I like it.

Whether you watch the adaptations or the original, you can give it a try. There's a reason why it has many adaptations.

Title Limit
Kamiya is a lovable character. She is determined and collected. The moment she realized they might not be rescued sooner, she started taking action, like collecting food & water and also looking for a place to stay.

I got annoyed with Morishige, but kinda understand her, she's being treated like trash and when she got hold of the sickle it made her feel like holding power above the rest.

What I'm confused about is what happened to the teacher? It really is his fault for not checking on them, it's negligence.

Title Missing 9 Spoiler
The first 10 episodes are good, then the next were a drag. And I was so disappointed with the ending. I think it would be better if they exclude Tae-ho from the painting party, and it would be more appropriate to show him in prison feeling remorseful. Because no matter how I wanted him to be happy, he killed 5 people and when they were back in Korea, he went on threatening others that they would also meet the same fate if they ratted him out, telling them it was easy for him to kill them. And I feel sorry for Yeol. He died, but they never found his body.

Title Castaway Diva Spoiler
Another masterpiece in 2023. I'm fine with 12 episodes; the ending is not rushed. Somehow the abuse is relatable because domestic or family violence are often ignored, and usually outsiders don't want to be involved, as we refer to it as a family problem that should be solved among themselves. That's why Ki-ho, after several attempts at reporting his father but always in vain, stopped believing in the law.

I really like the works of this writer, and somehow she has the knack to make a SML as green flag as the ML that you ended up rooting for them too, and sometimes the audience gets confused about who is the ML. Haha😆
