I'm probably the only one who feels this way, but i love fanxian and waner together. The only reason ppl hate…
Probably also one of the pet peeve is also the actress herself, as much as I appreciate the slightly less emphasis of Mary Sue portrayed this season (so far), I still remain stuck on the choice of actress. Li Qin is an actress who has worked on a lot of series, some that I have had the opportunity to see, and I can't say that I have the best impression of her.

Her lack of chemistry with FX also plays a role. We have so many bad written series but people stay through it because the couple chemistry compensates for it, but that is not the case here, the majority of viewers would wish FX to be with another, even the fragile and naive northern Princess who was just added to the cast - who is similar a lot like Wan Er's character in S1, that's saying that overall how fleshed out the FL is doesn't matter if it has good interactions with the ML.

On Bloodhounds Season 2 May 22, 2024
Very excited about this, I don't know anything about the webtoon, and I assume it goes beyond what was originally written, so it will be original. But I'm curious where this season will take us and also the two characters. If the director stays the same, I'm assured of a good buddy comedy/bromance like we had in season 1 to stay, I hope they will still capture the dark and dramatic tones that we had. Filming is for the second part of the year so I'm hoping for a release next year.

I don't understand the need for a 2nd season. The story of the first one has been finished completely. Half of…
I'm not a fan of series extensions when we could be satisfied with one good season, but I think here that another season will not impact the essence of the series, because it is the friendship between these two men. Regardless of where their new adventures take them, as long as there are two of them, the essence of the series is, in my opinion, preserved. I think the secondary characters were necessary to add to the story and personal journey/growth of the characters over the course of the season, but they are not irreplaceable. The series can do more by adding new endearing characters.

ep. 12.... Our hero, whose only goal was to be with the girl carrying the chicken drumstick and not to leave her…
As much as I would like FX to move on from Wan Er, I don't think that's the case. Your only argument is the fact that he agreed to leave Wan Er when she asked him.

You have an overly romanticized perception of the relationship between two adults, FX before his departure might wanted to stay, and that's the point of the matter, he came back a man from this trip to the north, he learned from things about himself, there's so much loss and pain that a person can take without being changed. Both have actually changed, Wan Er is much less Mary Sue type just in the snippet we saw. She handled herself, she doesn't need to be told what her relationship with FX is by others, as we saw when she dismissed the Prince's innuendos.

They have grown up, that doesn't mean their love is any less, it just manifests itself in a different way. Teenage passion isn't meant to be there forever.

I also want to add that FX's dream has always been Wan Er, and not about having concubines.

as much as there are complains about the comedy and wanting the seriousness of season 1 back, imo the drama is…
Honestly I agree, I think people don't remember but the first episodes of the first season are fairly comedic too, it's actually only at the moment where there is the big showdown in the street and his friend is killed that the drama takes a drastically darker tone. I feel the same approach here, I think the prince and FX are throwing jabs at each other, and it's already pretty dark between the murders and massacres, FX is getting more scheming and daring, but I feel like something bigger is coming who will make FX snap in the same way as in season 1.

I think FX has a lot of chemistry with a lot of women around him, Haitang Duo Duo is always at the top for me but it's true that he has chemistry with the northern the princess.

While I'm not a fan of the romance between FX and Wan Er (they still lack chemistry) and I'm grateful that the show isn't focused on that aspect, I admit that this season's Wan Er is a improvement from the last one where her acting was in the same range as most FLs, that is to say overly cute and childish, here I like that she was composed and knew how to handle the prince and his shenanigans.

His smile after FX corners him to pay for the food stand, seeing the others enjoying themselves was so precious. I think their friendship may become as central as other FX friendships have had, and honestly, I'm here for it.

Damn, came here after "The Man From Nowhere" (weirdly seems to resurface in some circles, it's how I found it) to see which series I could dip in of his just to discover he basically stopped being an actor since then ...

I agree, the Yan Bing played by Wu Xing Jian gives more life to the character, while he remains faithful to the character as being a strict individual whose dedication to the country, fairness and justice is above all, we see traces of humanity in his acting, which makes him endearing. I can already see how his character, who is a little too rational, will evolve with FX influence, and it is obvious that he will become even more of a character we want to root for.

Again, no one said that adults were angels, but there is a world of difference between what the FL does and what is happening in this family, this false equivalency is weird.

This family is broken, each individual, the father is depressed, an alcoholic and can't manage to communicate with his daughter in addition to carrying his own grief, the grandmother is worried about all of them even if her words exceed her thought - which none of it are crimes unlike the FL's doings. They have enough trouble getting by without needing the FL to bust in and make them more miserable when her true nature will be revealed.

I don't think it's fair to justify and legitimize her actions just because the ML is a shitty father or the grandmother is harsh.

It is but it doesn't ruin other people's lives, that's the distinction, is it amoral ? Yes, Bok Man Heum shouldn't do that. In comparison, Da Hae literally ruins other people's lives to steal their money, their reputation, their family, emotionally it's heavy and abusive.

What you say are just excuses. Being a jerk or someone using their "premonition" power is far from being adequately compared to being manipulative, scheming and a con woman for a living. There is a degree of seriousness to everything.

I know this won't be discussed much because a lot of things are happening but I found the moment Si Zhe saying goodbye to his parents, especially his father, touching. We know that he holds him in high esteem and always wanted to make him proud, the fact that his father said these words was important for him to hear, and the bow he made was truly moving.

Title Joy of Life Season 2 Spoiler
I was disappointed for a moment thinking that the prince (who was in the military) was replaced and played by the 'cousin' who shares the brothel, but I was wrong, they are building the anticipation for his character in the episode 6. Good news. I have always liked stories with several princes, now the range is wider, we have the Crown Prince, the Second Prince who would like to be Crowned, the bastard/not recognized (yet) Prince in Fan Xian, the young and naive Prince, lastly the oldest and military Prince. I have a lot of expectations for the fight for the throne and overall power struggle.

Also, they succeeded in their bet, this season despite the years in-between is giving the same feeling that if the series had ended a few months ago, the characters are well taken back up and embodied.
