While Namgoong Min's surname is a compound surname meaning Southern Palace, don't remenber ever seeing a Korean surname with three characters like Ha Neul Ae. Also, her father's lastname is HA, not Ha Neul Ae.

So, maybe she added her mother's lastname to her name too! I can't find that info in MDL page though

yes, there are Chinese compound surnames such as some commonly known ones like DongMen, Dugu, Gongsun, Ouyang, Sima, Situ, Ximen, ZhuGe, etc...
But so far i've never heard of a compound surname called Bibi.

The Bi Bi Dong in chinese characters 比比东 don't really make sense, although the word Dong means East while Bi literally means ratio!

Actually, i'm still puzzled by her name Bi Bi Dong which sounds very modern if Dong is her lastname while given name is Bi Bi.
However, actual Chinese names run with Lastname (family name) and followed by given name. Eg TANG San. TANG Hao, NING Rong Rong, NING Feng Zhi, etc...
So for this Bi Bi Dong, which is the family name - Bi or Dong?

I know this drama is about a down and out 37-yo servile woman, but is it really necessary to make her character so "unpolished and haphazard looking"!

Seeing how the 17-yo self centred brat behaved towards her sibling & schoolmates, the 37-yo ahjumma is probably being punished. Everyone else except 37-yo Bahni, is doing quite well in life...

And the squid song & dance and the two men from ???

This is not romcom but slapstick comedy.
