I was wondering why he couldn't use his martial arts to protect him? Or is it only effective to dodge blows but not as effective when being hit straight on?

I thought it was just a test too, and that he would realize his loyalty once he took the "poison". How naive of me to think his father would actually care. He is just too weary of being usurped or the bad press as a result.

Script lines, I've seen BTS they say almost the same dailogue
I for one detest dubbing as it can never 100% match their mouth. I also prefer to hear their real voice as it is a part of acting. At least dub it with the same actor's voices in the studio. It's one of the undesirable aspects of cdramas that I put up with, but definitely do not like.

I was really surprised that IRL Langhua's age is only 13. I thought she was older. Her acting is pretty mature for her age. She is really cute! I remember her in Pearl Eclipse as Salia.

I think ML realizes he likes her before FL. His blushes, racing heart beat, sweating (and quick departures), as pointed out by FL are hilarious! I love their innocent interactions. Also he was already jealous when she had the duel date with the other guy. But I think FL is starting to realize it too as she is giggling to herself thinking about him a few times.
