I think you shouldn't judge someone if you haven't walked ten miles in their shoes. I think Oh Hae Young #1 is dealing with everything pretty well, considering how much shit she gets thrown at her. She's not weak, and I think her occasional crying is justified. I really loved her character. Just my opinion, though.
I think all of these have too much comedy to be called melodramas (well, the 4 I have seen). More like, they are romcoms with some dramatic plot twists. I personally dislike melodramas, but I did enjoy "That Winter the wind blows" and "Innocent Man".
But anyway, Pinocchio, It's Okay that's love, DOTS and Goblin are in my top 10 favorite dramas, so good choices, no matter which genre :)
I don't understand those high ratings. It started out strong but then it got hopelessly predictable and boring. Dropped at episode 10. Rated 6.5/10, maybe that's too generous.
Good ratings and positive comments made me curious. I'm half way through but I don't like it. Yes the…
Also dropped it for the same reasons. I just thought it was super boring, even though I usually love slice of life and romance dramas that have slow development. It just didn't click with me :(
I am so in love with this drama. Admit it is one of the best drama i have ever seen. Top list ofcourse. But can…
How much of DOTS did you see? I agree that the first couple of episodes have very cheesy scenes, but it gets much more realistic once she finds out who he really is. Personally I loved DOTS much more than Scent of a woman. The main couple here got really frustrating in the middle. Anyway, I can second Another Miss Oh, it's a fantastic drama. I also recommend "It's okay, that's Love" (best drama ever) and Queen In Hyun's Man. But it depends on what you want to watch (romance focus only, or friendship, a bit of tragedy, action, historical or friendship??) You can have a look at my list, everything I rated with 8.5 plus stars I can recommend whole heartedly.
They often blur out commercial logos. Like on cars or coffee cups lol I guess that's not censorship but yeah, it's somewhat annoying. But I guess I can live with it. You get used to it eventually, though I have to say it's unnerving in action scenes when all the sharp weapons are suddenly blurry and you're like: what is going on??
Ahh... Will have to drop this :( I'm having way too much second lead feelings to continue watching
I also had second lead syndrome, but as with others, it started to dwindle as time passed by. Gi Tae's mom's character development is one of the greatest for a supporting character in a drama. Give it another chance, it's a great drama, I believe.
One of my all-time favorites. I simply love everything about this drama. I recently rewatched it and it was just as gripping as the first time I saw it. It's making you feel so many things. The characters in this are so real and yet all quirky and special at the same time. There's not a single character in this show I dislike (okay, maybe the male lead's mom and her lover aren't the most charming), and that's a feat in K-drama land. It really left an impression on me...
(Btw one of my friends in Korea said he watched it even tho he doesn't watch much K-drama and it actually made him cry lol I think that speaks volumes on how touching this story is!)
I watched almost all of them, and I definitely agree with your top 3, those are amazing dramas. I wouldn't really categorize Dream High as Rom Com, though. The romance aspect in this drama was secondary, it focused more on growth and coming of age. I couldn't get in to 'The Lover's weird storytelling, but maybe I should give it another chance.
In my top 3, there would definitely be one "It's Okay, That's Love" and "Queen In Hyun's Man" (not sure one would label that as romcom but i don't care, it's really funny at times and it's romance, so... lol)
Also, I stalked your list because I was curious about your ratings and I noticed you only rated a few a 10 or 9 and didn't rate any of the others. Why is that? *curious* haha
Ah, and I think you should watch 'Marriage Not Dating' and 'Another Miss Oh'. Those two are fantastic!
Even though there are a lot of dramas with cute couples (even some of my fave dramas), only very few I would categorize as having chemistry that makes you hold your breath.
Here's my top 5:
1. Jang Jae Yeol & Ji Hae Soo (It's Okay, That's Love)
2. Kim Boong Do & Choi Hee Jin (Queen In Hyun's Man)
3. Park Do Kyung & Oh Hae Young #1 (Another Miss Oh)
4. Yoo Shi Jin & Kang Mo Yeon (Descendants of the Sun)
5. Do Min Joon & Chun Sung Yi (You who came from the Stars)
Honorable mentions: Kang Dong Joo and Yoon Seo Jeong (RomDoc, Teacher Kim), MCs in my P.S. Partner, MCs in Oh my Venus
I would add Park Ri Hwan from Bubblegum to the list. He's so so so lovable! And I agree with the ones I've seen from that list, DOTS, Queen in Hyun's man, Sassy Go Go and Kim Bok Joo.
So sad the ratings are dropping. This is a one-of-a-kind epic love story. It may not be a master piece in the literal sense, but I already watched it 3 times and I cannot get enough of it. It's amazing!
This was a really cute drama. I loved that it explored so many different aspects of relationships and marriage. That approach is really mature and goes beyond what we get to see in most k-dramas. And even though I looooved all he couples, I thought that some scenes and moments were just too cheesy for that kind of 'realistic' depiction of love. And I think it could have been less draggy about the love triangle. Maybe that's why I cannot call it one of my favorites. Even so, the humor in this drama is AMAZING. It is definitely a nice watch if you're looking for a drama purely about romance.
Don't forget about weightlifting fairy! Joon Hyeong had it really bad for Bok Joo pretty much immediately…
I sort of disagree on that. It is very clearly shown that he only sees her as a friend at first, and of course he is eternally grateful to her (how they met as kids), but he realizes his feelings only much much later and it's obvious he doesn't have a romantic interest in her in the beginning. It's not the same as with Bok Joo and his bro...

My favorites are City Hinter and DOTS <333 and Queen in Hyun's man, despite not being on the list. Weightlifting fairy sort of also, but it's not the main couple...
