I really hope the cinematography is the same, and we'll see this warm glowing style on screen.

The first few episodes were going so well, but then the choppy editing made it really hard to feel invested in the story, which was already quite boring with too little romance.

I spent the second half just glued to the beautiful faces, waiting for the demon lord to appear in all his glory... But it just didn't work out. I certainly wasn't expecting the second Tang Taijing and his ancient demon god, but Ye Sha's flashbacks did give me hope. Song Weilong is very handsome here, I'm glad we finally saw him in xianxia, it suits him very well, but I didn't get enough fire in him. He spent the entire drama as a quiet young man with kind eyes, so it was really hard to believe who he is. And overall, there wasn't enough of him in the drama! He def needs more screen time wtf!

I liked Jiu Jingyi's performance here. I'm becoming more and more attached to her, like she's improving before my eyes. Go girl! See you in Lai Zhan!

The script was weak and boring, main characters are doubtful and annoying for many, almost no romance of the main couple, and the 2023 production looks outdated. Still it has its pros like humor and the 2nd couple for example.
