Guys guys what do you want to be Lusi next project. I want her to do a costume drama playing a strong general…
I normally want a costume one... Preferably wuxia or something where her character is a bit cunning! I love her portrayal when she plots. (I still remember her evil smile when she saw Cui Jia and when she was dealing with Zheng Shiyuan š¤£)
I am normally not a fan of all xianxia bcoz generally they tend to be dragging and boring for me. But I still need her to do at least one with a really good production team and a good script. TLI kind of lacked in the dept of production quality and script. (I feel Anyu and Lusi's chemistry can give us a stunning modern drama. TLI didn't use this aspect properly)
Its kind of an open ending. My interpretation- SMZ asks him to stay. For me, their hug represented YZJ's willingness to stay. SMZ let Yue Yunxiu manage Mingjintai (YYX gave winning speech) and then gave up guild head position. ( I don't think she ever intended to become the guild head. She always wished to explore and be free. Being head would have bound her). Then comes my interpretation, that she spent her time with YZJ (whatever time he had left) probably travelling. And when YZJ passed away eventually, she continued travelling and exploring the world as a jewelry merchant. The last scenes of 40 yrs later are in the same deserts where both FL and ML had once travelled together.
They don't show his death on screen and leave it to us for interpretation.
Does anyone know what's her next project?? I think it'll not took much time to film Almost lovers as it has 24…
There have been rumors of her signing a costume drama quite early... But haven't heard any solid name till now... The new melons are just too fake right now
I certainly don't believe he went away. He would have been able to leave only if DW didn't know. I understand he didn't want DW to see him vulnerable. But, even he didn't want to really leave. I believe that their last hug when she asks him not to leave was an acceptance of the fate and symbolised his willingness to stay as well.
I would like to believe that SMZ and YZJ were the purple stars who met in the sky. It was the reason they couldn't see it with their own eyes. It was for us to witness and commemorate their love. š¤
If it had been otherwise, we would still have haters saying where is 'realism'! So u cant stop them.. Even the…
Thats the ending for me as well. She asked him not to leave. Now that she knows, obviously she won't let him leave and I truly truly believe he wants to stay too. He just doesn't want her to see him in pain. But we all know, he wanted to stay with her till his last moments. It was why she refused that position. She never intended to be the head. She always seeked to venture out and explore. And she did, with YZJ by his side. They surely did watch the mountains and rivers like they wanted. It's just that the time was short for them. And after he left, she continued her journey just like he had wanted her too!
And then they became the purple stars who met above those mountains! SMZ and YZJ were the stars! Thats why they couldn't see them with their own eyes when they were alive! It's for us to witness. š¤
Your comments are spot on! We knew what was going to happen for ages and a sudden change would have not been realistic.…
I really appreciate the entire team of this drama! They have put together a show worth watching. The entire 40 episodes have been good for me. We all were crying about its ending since ages bcoz we could see it. But I am happy bcoz each character got its closure!
SMZ found her freedom. And love which seemed impossible to her. She even became an inspiration for several women around her.
YZJ got his revenge. And he left the world loving someone, instead of the hatred which had been keeping him alive all these years. He even started believing in justice again.
ZJR became a principled person in true sense. He understood the world as it was, and instead of judging, always stood for justice.
YYX got to live her life focusing on her artistry as she had wanted.
CSJ finally freed herself from the shackles of revenge, family, understood her worth and finally practiced what she always preached.
ZZH got his justice. His only fault was being born in a family which didn't understand the importance of family.
Prince Ying, Li Kui, Zheng Shiyuan, Xu Nanying got there well deserved ending.
The guild finally thrived for each merchant.
The songstresses freed themselves from the burden of pleasing others.
Despite the bittersweet ending, the drama is definitely worth the watch. U know, life is not about getting everything u want. It's important to make the most of it. SMZ and YZJ made the most of the time they had together. Plus they fulfilled their individuals wishes too. Like the purple stars that met each other in the sky, they too found each other in this lifetime and loved each other!
It is never shown that YZJ leaves. The last scene is SMZ asking YZJ to not leave. (She already knows his plan, probably bcoz KJ told her) This is the first time they talk about the poison thing. Then story moves on. So it's sort of obvious that YZJ didn't leave. He rather spent his last days with her. Bcoz in no way, would SMZ let YZJ leave after knowing everything. They don't show him dying onscreen. Rather they imply they spend the remaining time together. So KJ wouldn't have left too.
DW is gonna be my favorite role of ZLS for a while I guess. She was perfect here. She is really expanding her comfort zone. If u look at it, it wasn't completely opposite or unrelated to her past roles, but it certainly was a bit different. Earlier, it was Cheng Shaoshang. But DW and SMZ are really more special to me. The way her character here deliver the message perfectly, I really love it. I just hope that the bittersweet ending and words of antis doesn't deter people from watching the drama. Obviously it's not for the ones who prefer light, romance, funny dramas. Honestly it never was, right from the first episode. But for those who love watching something in this genre, it's really a beautiful drama which can always be appreciated for the direction, story, cast, visuals, cinematography and especially the message it seeks to deliver!
If it had been otherwise, we would still have haters saying where is 'realism'! So u cant stop them.. Even the…
True. The moment she asked him not to leave, I really cried. I believe they lived their lives together before YZJ left and life moved on for DW, the way she had promised YZJ. He wanted her to venture into the vast world, and so did, keeping their happy times together in her memory.
Am gonna appreciate Director Xie again! Only some know how scared we were for the camerawork, post production…
And the cast... Lusi, girl u did a wonderful job portraying the emotions and journey of both DuanWu and SuMuZhe. Her journey is worth learning from. A pearl diver who created waves in the jewelry world by her efforts and vision, believed in uplifting everyone around her, even those who did wrong by her at one point. DW just wanted freedom for herself, but in her own journey to attain this dream, she helped countless people (especially women) to realize their worth and seek freedom. SMZ who found it impossible to find love for herself in this lifetime managed to have someone who understood her in true sense. Yuning, obviously I loved him as YZJ. He didn't just portray YZJ's need for revenge, but also the subtle change in him when he found someone he wanted to accompany in his life. I wished YZJ could get to live the peaceful days which he had never hoped for, but I am also satisfied knowing that he didn't just avenged his family, but also found his true happiness along the way. It's a drama but I will hope DW and YZJ get to live a happy life together in their next lives.
ZJR is one rare SML who I truly like. Someone who started as a bookish principled person grew along the way and found the true meaning of integrity and justice!
DW and SMZ is definitely going to be my favorite role of Lusi for some time.
Am gonna appreciate Director Xie again! Only some know how scared we were for the camerawork, post production and everything. But he delivered a masterpiece! Legit a visual feast!
Wow suddenly, a lot of new people writing (bad) comments here out of the blue... but OK let's hit 20K soon.Based…
If it had been otherwise, we would still have haters saying where is 'realism'! So u cant stop them.. Even the witch doctor had said he had found something which "may" help. It was never a sure cure. At this point, I don't even think Li Kui had a cure. It wasn't like he was killed by emperor. Rather they said, he died. Probably bcoz Prince Ying had poisoned him then or whatever. And Li kui, being the evil he was, he would never have handed the right cure (IF HE HAD ONE) even if ZJR had promised him his freedom And given the poison had already advanced, being cured would have been magic. Even today, time is a major factor in being cured, even for diseases for which treatment exists.
I could see the ending coming... That's why I hoped for otherwise bcoz who doesn't want forever and ever sort of things. But nonetheless, the story was beautiful and so was the ending. YZJ getting what he wished for, not by killing everyone, but by law. SMZ finding her freedom, and exploring the vast world like she wanted. SMZ and YZJ, two lost souls finding their home and peace in each other. The trailer had a dialogue about the journey being more important than the fact whether they reach their destination or not! One was seeking freedom, other was seeking revenge; but somehow both found their soulmates. Really loved Lusi and Yuning together. Mr writer, I am a little sad with how he had to die, but given the circumstances, I can accept why u chose to stick to realism here.
Will surely go back to watching it again in few days. The journey itself is worth it!! š¤
