Oh, he isn't in love. He is obsessed with her for sure bcoz of 'legitimate eldest daughter' thing. I think he…
Well matched!! Yes I definitely agree to that... 🤣🤣 A well matched younger generation.. Had the Cuis and Zhengs been doing well, the marriage of these two would either take the family to new heights or absolutely wreck it! No in between 🤭
I just want their endings to be matched to their actions too!
Youku has a new rule now? Why 16 ep that is too short. One of the modern dramas I am looking forward to is slated…
Yeah, right, its from a novel. I have been so confused about this since before shoot, lot of rumors about it. Is it the same novel involving that dance and all?
Maybe instead of 40 min, they switch to 1 hr or something. But yeah 40 is a lot... Most of the modern ones just drag the plot

It's for the dramas without novel, IP i guess. If they get approval, that's okay.. Else modern dramas 16 episodes. Plus its from Jan 2025. So if that drama has already completed everything (shooting) then I don't think it will change. I was asking in context of AL since it just started shooting when the announcement was made. And we don't have official confirmation on its episode number. Just at one place I read, it was supposedly 24 episodes.

That's why I said CSJ is smarter than ZZH. ZZH is so entangled in his identity and the fear which arises due to it (not getting to be the heir despite being smarter than Si comparatively) makes him rather pathetic. He isn't a smart villain, not even worth planning shit on his own! Probably bcoz she had always looked down on him earlier, but is now ready to be his ally; he finds himself getting closer to her since he gets a sort of approval from her which he didn't get from his father. His mother's love for him his different. Her every conversation is about asking him to step up (that is he needs improvement). While with her, it has switched from despising to being allies.
Plus, her plans are actually sensible, while he got no plans on his own. He couldn't even escape the murder blame on his own. Its just that his execution is too poor.

I would have called it love if he actually stood for her. Right from snatching the lotus pearl tower by trying to spike drink (failed) and causing her to faint. Or the talk they had earlier by the inn. He can't even speak frankly in front of his parents that he is gonna always keep her by side. Whenever his parents remind him of it, he goes like 'yeah, i got it'. For me, its his obsession. Obsession can lead to him getting upset since he had thought he had won her over (bcoz she was already ruined, had nowhere to go, he rescued her servants and gave her shelter) only to be hit by the truth from her. He just realized she wasn't actually devoted to her. But yeah, u can have a different opinion on their relation dynamics. But that's no love for me.

That love for me is obsession. He was obsessed with her due to her legitimate origin and she despised him due to his illegitimate origin. Now that her family is in the ruins and she offered herself to him, he wants to keep her to himself (only till it doesn't clash with his agenda to rise in family ranks) For me its obsession (something he wants to possess) . He won't take stand for her, won't give her a name; and I believe will discard her too at the right time.

True.. They are running out of sons🤣I think he might have more illegitimate ones (just they are younger) I don't know what family will remain if the sons die🤣🤣
Also i don't think that Wu is so innocent and simple that he bought a store for CSJ. (Especially now that CSJ accepted openly that she is with him due to YZJ) God knows what he has up his sleeves. We will know by next episode 🤭 (Just one thing. Si is the son who died (the eldest one) . Wu is the son who is with CSJ. Wu bought it for CSJ)
After the youku new rule regarding modern dramas (16 episodes), will it apply to Almost Lover too? Or is it for dramas which will get approval for shoot after Jan 2025?
Also, i see a lot of data like Maoyan and other about views of data crossing 800 mn and so on. Does it include international data too? Like international youku?
I will never understand someone hell bent on revenge for a family that treated them poorly. I get wanting to claim…
She deserves consequences. She was done for me the moment she chose to cling to ZZH! And the final nail was her not hesitating in her actions after knowing about Yan family truth! Now she speaks like the Cui and Zheng head who will do anything and everything for their family business, even sacrifice their own family for the 'greater good'.
I was weird about her from the first scene where she ordered to smash the smaller boats stopping her ship from docking! Even then I didn't know how she would get a redemption arc! Now I actually don't want her to have a redemption. I want her to understand that her own deeds landed her in trouble. She whined about being mistreated by her family in one breath; and in the other breath she mistreated the ones weaker than her by using the power of 'that' family. It's like crying foul after reaping benefits 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Though, I like her look from the reuters.
We don't even have any reuters or clips from these parts of the drama!

We don't mind 😌

She needs to consult a psychiatrist to get over her obsession
